Wouldn’t you say the wings can bump off the top of the foul line & then rotate to guard the corners? I’ve been a man to man defensive mind for the last few years but studying different areas of zone looks have been quite convincing! Notable hall of fame coaches like John Chaney, Harry litwack, Clair bee & marv harshman come to mind when you think about who runs a successful zones BUT you still apply some form of man to man principles to technically create more confusion for the offense. Combination/flip defenses (in theory) should work against motion offenses that are hard to scout!
