- Blankety Blank from 1989, with the much-loved and much-missed comedy 'great', Les Dawson. This show features three other 'greats' of British show business who, sadly, are also no longer with us: Bernie Winters, Frankie Vaughan, and Wendy Richard.

Les Dawson was the best!! The way he took the piss out of everything including the celebrities was legendary. Sorely missed!!
Indeed an echo of my thoughts
Ooops just realized you said that 3 years b4 me....lol guess you got there first 👏👏👏👏👏🧐👍
Les Dawson was my favourite presenter of this programme back in the day.
I used to love the way he would say "Oh no, you're not going home empty handed" and take the mickey out of the prizes. GREAT FUNNY STUFF!!!!
Does anyone remember him putting the questions card up to his microphone, tapping his fingertips on it and pretending to dance? That killed me every time! 😂
Love the music great lyrics could listen to it all day 🤪🤪
Loved Blankety Blank when I was growing up.Les Dawson was the best.RIP Les ♥️♥️
Les was most entertaining. He suffered from chest pains in later life which he never completely recovered from. RIP Les!
Les, a man most missed.
Loved him taking the piss out of the show and the prizes on offer

I loved this show with Les when I was a kid
bearmanmr what a brilliant man he was I loved him and miss him one of the best
Love les Dawson
So eerie to watch high quality videos of memorable TV hits from the 80s with celebs who have long since died. Add a cheesy PC protocol and attitude, and it could be today’s TV.
MORE PLEASE!!!
Dawson = GENIUS
Blankety black was a great show for family viewing.
Yeah I loved it.
Bernie Winters died over 20 years ago. scary how fast time has gone.
Poor old Mike and Bernie...just too early to make the real TV revolution...Eric and Ernie got a second chance...Mike and Bernie didn't...
SEE WHAT YOU MEAN, 26 YEARS NOW
Poor Old Mike and Bernie?????????????????????? Contender for one of the funniest comments I have ever seen in 10 years on RUclips! lol
Bernie had no talent whatsoever and Mike was as funny as the Estate Agent that he, wisely, became. Nepotism was rife as the 2 Legends of British Entertainment: Sir Lew Grade-Head Of ITV and his Brother Sir Bernard Delfont-Owner of many Theatres, including The Palladium were close relatives as was Head Of Channel 4:Michael Grade........They were the luckiest pair in Show Business and they were going to split up in 1962 when Uncle Bernie got them to perform in his Royal Variety Show on Sunday Night at the London Palladium and their career was further revived when they were chosen as hosts of the ITV Sunday evening variety show Big Night Out (1963) by Uncle Lew.....LOL
Always found bernie winters painfully unfunny....stole a living really.

They were about as funny as root canal treatment.
It's the DHSS woman from Bread
She looked a lot happier there!!
Yes, couple of yrs back now
Yes sadly, she died in 2009 after a battle with cancer.
Tina is the woman on This Morning who talks about what's happening on the soaps.
That rotating platform used in the beginning of the show is the same one as used as the bridge on The Heart Of Gold in the Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy TV series...
To know this you must have a brain the size of a planet. Share and enjoy!
Did anyone know about there is a Blankety Blank game in the store I got one today
Here in the U.S. I never heard of any of these celebrities. Then again, I doubt anybody from the U.K. would be familiar with Brettt Sommers or Charles Nelson Reiley.
who? Case proven...
No
How Uncanny ! I knew someone with your name around 17/18 years ago !
I think Roy looks like Alan Wicker!!!!
Les dawson did it best.
Les appeared as a panelist on a couple of editions of Blankety Blank when Terry Wogan was the host.
