Use hairspray to lubricate the grips on & off, no glue needed either. I use to work in a bike shop, we fitted many grips over the years & have been doing it this way for ages both on dirtbikes & bicycles
Great job! Yeah, unless they are factory heated grips, the throttle tube ridges need to filed down heaps. Im hoping you used supaglue to secure the grips both sides? Usually, the liquid state of the glue(a decent amount ) helps slide the grips on but gotta be quick & no palm hammering. I just manufacturers would make a kit to simply replace the throttle tube with the RH heated grip already in place... Ohh wait, Suzuki do that😉
Good job and choice of grips- look OEM rather than the clunky Oxford offerings. Very similar to Whites grips. Tip- these otherwise expensive grips will wear over time. I've installed 8 dollar grip puppies over them. When the puppies wear out just install another pair and so on. Your main grips won't wear out.
yes they do look better than oxford. Yes similar to whites although I never have used them. Interesting about the grip puppies.... I have them on all my other bikes and never thought to put them on this bike. I have no idea why. Thanks. That's a job for tomorrow.
They look good , better set up than the Oxford grip with the big control box , There’s a power port under the left side front panel, could you have used that instead of going direct to the battery .
there would have been so much wiring to deal with and it does have an auto cut off so i thought it easier to do that. Doing it this way also makes the fuse easier to access by just removing the seat. Otherwise it might be a side panel removal.
The heated grips don’t turn on when the ignition is off? I’d hat to come back to the bike just to have a flat battery. Looks much better than the Oxford.
With WD40 instead of compressed air you just ruined the grips for further use. And pick anything else then Oxford heated grips is just wast of time and money.
Rubbish. Whites and others such as these look better and perform well. I've successfully used Whites for years and no clunky console like Oxford. Check your connections at maintenance intervals.

Good tip. Thanks
I’ve used these grips for three years, no issues, heat great
@@anthonya7066 great to know. Thanks.

Great video! These grips looks way better then oxford with the shitty looking square control box!
@@ToFinka96 yes they certainly do.

Hi mate. Good video. How much did you pay for the grips. Ken
@@kensbikestuff Thanks. I think they were just under $200 I like them because of the integrated controller.

@@olis790 they have an auto low current off the same as the Oxfords. They do look good. I like the integrated controller. Makes it look neat.
Nice job for a musician.. 🤣
Thanks.
