An Aussie half way round the world in Halifax Nova Scotia when this came on the radio. I’d never heard it or them before. Years later I am still totally hooked 👊🏻
I remember seeing these guys with The Tea Party at Cayuga in Ontario Canada for May TwoFour weekend....pounding jack n coke...the girl camping next to us knocking out her bf's teeth...my buddy sleeping half in the tent half out of the tent in the pouring rain..and everyone burning the furniture they brought with them the last night......races...music...GREAT TIMES!!!!!
I have heard this song a couple of times on a Canadian radio station. I absolutely love them. the singer sounds like Eric Burdon ( the Animals). A very catching song.
Well this is what rock is supposed to sound like. That is what made ACDC so popular. It was really good, energetic and fun. Went to school with Hugh and he was born to entertain. Very few are.
I use to live about a mile from Front 54....epic times...awesome times throwing up in the park right there...The Tea Party and Headstones played there multiple times...I remember the hideaway too.....talk about a blast from the past!!!!
I knew the chords used on guitar and various small lines, it was driving my house crazy trying to figure out. We could all picture his voice, just couldn't get a band name, song name or find it
I remember seeing these guys in 1999. Nickelback opened for them, but we all wanted to see the HEADSTONES!! My times have changed, but Hugh Dillon still kicks ass as a member of the SRU on Flashpoint.
Here I am writing to you. 851 likes, really this song has all the right tune ups to the full ground, cannot wait to watch these guys perform at Roxodus July 14, 2019 !!
@freenovascotia They are one of the greatest Canadian bands ever. I firmly believe they didn't need to get as huge as other bands because the devoted die hards in my opinion were enough to make them so fricken awesome. They have the right amount of fame I think in Canada and know very well that the people who go see them are the best appreciators in Canadian music!
I heard this song on the radio and I always thought it was a Rolling Stones song. The lead singer sounds just like Mick Jagger and the song sounds very Rolling Stones like. Anyway this song is great!
When no one stand's for SOMETHING TO SAY THAT IS NOT RIGHT ! they are left right on there as set in place to Obey O'b'eye'd to kiss there a'ss they sit on and cry why ? WHY NOT STAND UP ! ADX8🌪🐺🌪💯
why does it always have to be about where they're from?! L.A., New york, Toronto, etc., it may help shape their sound, but it doesn't make them any better than any other band....but we do have wicked awesome music up here. ; )
Definitely one of the most underrated Canadian rock bands in history
True true true 💯
Right
Going to see them today for the 3rd time great band
Picture of Health was an awesome album... they should have been more popular than they were.
9 times out of 10 the good stuff doesn't catch on because it's not cookie cutter and neither are the artists making the music.
Saw them in concert, partied backstage with them, good times.
TRUTH 🙌🤘

Man this song brings me back to my high school days.
I don't care how many years go by, this still great.

And this ones about rock n roll, and comic books, and bubbegum!! Love these guys!!
I love me some Headstone! Seen the 6 times. Hugh Dillion is amazing.
Let's all be happy the Hugh is clean and fying straight for a long time, and the band is still out there.
❤🤘Absolutely!!
I have heard this song a couple of times on a Canadian radio station. I absolutely love them. the singer sounds like Eric Burdon ( the Animals). A very catching song.
I thought he sounded like lou reed a bit also
my dad Frank Lippai was the original Bassist for this band. Planing on going to one of their concerts soon and meeting his band mates! Great band!!!!
tell your dad i said he rocks
I sent this song to John Helliwell of Supertramp, the sax guy. He likes it ! .. "it's nitty gritty"
that feedback brings tears to my eyes
always loved this band.
each album has a few keepers.
Hugh Dillon is a vastly underrated songwriter. Prolific in my books, with the likes of Leonard Cohen, God Downie, Matthew Good and Neil Young.
Well this is what rock is supposed to sound like. That is what made ACDC so popular. It was really good, energetic and fun. Went to school with Hugh and he was born to entertain. Very few are.
@patrick grondines Yes. He was crazy funny but a great entertainer.
one one prob with this song. NOT LONG ENOUGH. Wicked tune.
Fk Yeah
Best part is that the lead singer is Hugh Dillon who plays Ed Lane on Flashpoint, a hard core police officer. Kinda died when I made the connection.
Great series!
Sheriff Haskell, Yellowstone.
I use to live about a mile from Front 54....epic times...awesome times throwing up in the park right there...The Tea Party and Headstones played there multiple times...I remember the hideaway too.....talk about a blast from the past!!!!

I have that Molson Promo CD somewhere. Some time after that saw them play in the Odeon Movie Theater in Guelph was awesome
am I the only one that had this song stuck in there head for a week. was driving me crazy
I knew the chords used on guitar and various small lines, it was driving my house crazy trying to figure out. We could all picture his voice, just couldn't get a band name, song name or find it
Ryan Mcdaniel all day long since I heard it
I had bubblegum and rock n roll stuck in my noggin !!
Cool song. Heard it on The Rez then found it here.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
Thanks to Nick from Left 4 dead 2 I found an awesome band ❤️
yup, I got the cd in a box of beer. fan ever since. awesome times.
I even still have that cd.
Was it Molson Black Ice?
@@curtisc856 it may have been. That was during my college days, so, lots of details are quite hazy.
I remember seeing these guys in 1999. Nickelback opened for them, but we all wanted to see the HEADSTONES!! My times have changed, but Hugh Dillon still kicks ass as a member of the SRU on Flashpoint.
I loved this song lost it for years dancing now💃😄

I have one of the promo cds. One of my brothers works for the NSLC here in Halifax. He gave me my copy and a copy of something I don't recall.
Strombo with hair...that's classic. And a damn good song
Here I am writing to you. 851 likes, really this song has all the right tune ups to the full ground, cannot wait to watch these guys perform at Roxodus July 14, 2019 !!

I heard this song on the radio and I always thought it was a Rolling Stones song. The lead singer sounds just like Mick Jagger and the song sounds very Rolling Stones like. Anyway this song is great!

Was someone looking for roaches?

Canadians?!
Why! I would have never guessed! It's 2024 bro!
LMAOO I'm so used to seeing Hugh Dillon in Flashpoint with no hair so this made me laugh!
I remember that summer promo C.D.s hart, green jelly, this one and more.....
looks like an acid trip at the post office, newspapers strewn everywhere haha
They're almost like a metal Tragically Hip. That is to say, fucking awesome.
This Song Is Way Cool!
Singer's voice reminds me of John Kay of Steppenwolf mixed with Eric Burdon.
The Headstones are an awesome Canadian band-I'd take them over the tragically hip anytime.
Reminds me of Lou reed
Hugh Dillon is like the "Leonard Cohen" of Rock
I hope not, otherwise a bunch of talentless auto tuned "singers" will start covering and ruining Headstones songs as well
fucking auwsom tune 57 years old and i love it
Rock n' Roll, n' comic books, n' bubble gum...
They're a nice mix between the Hip and Teenage Head
When no one stand's for SOMETHING TO SAY THAT IS NOT RIGHT ! they are left right on there as set in place to Obey O'b'eye'd to kiss there a'ss they sit on and cry why ? WHY NOT STAND UP ! ADX8🌪🐺🌪💯
f@#king epic

Bazooka Joe.
It's about being amused to death.
Hugh Dillon with hair?!! Who knew?!
He may like to karate chop in this video, but he loves to pop off heads ina sniper position in Flashpoint.
still have the molson cd lol
Man Much and Much More music don't showcase music like they used to...like Spotlight was a great show, and so was the previous incarnation of Wedge.
why does it always have to be about where they're from?! L.A., New york, Toronto, etc., it may help shape their sound, but it doesn't make them any better than any other band....but we do have wicked awesome music up here. ; )
He likes to karate chop a lot in this video.
"Why Has Suicide Doubled" 1:33 back 93? Whats current national/provincial stats ? Include ODs. 2017
Man I went to their site but can't find tour dates... Anyone?
The music video doesnt match the feel of the song at all but I love it
It is a great song. But it is around 14 years old. hehehe
He looks so different with hair lol
This one for nothing
@MsNemissus Someone in rock and roll being pretentious? OH NO!
Does anyone know what movie or show the talking bits in the end are from?
am I the only one that had this song stuck in there head for a week. was driving me crazy
