Hi Insym, that the onryo roams because of candles in his room is flavour text and NOT true. Psycho made a solid short movie about the onryo, you should watch it. This was a fun challenge.

@@AyushSatheesh the developers want the game to be as enjoyable and fun as possible, thus, to make sure they clear out all the MAJOR bugs (mostly game-breaking bugs), they've delayed it. I honestly prefer a smooth experience compared to one with many untold bugs/glitches.

This is going to be awesome! I love having your Phasmo videos on in the background while working on other things - they're so engaging and keep me alert because of how terrifying Phasmo can be. I've recently gotten into playing multiplayer, mostly because of your videos!
I was actually procrastinating work with youtube and this comment got me to stand up and do my work while having this vid on in the background. Not really Zen-mode but at least I am doing something now. Thank you!

Insym is literally the only one who keeps me watching hours long videos of gameplay. This guy is the reason why I cannot let go of Phasmo, it always hooks me back to its charme!
So much to learn every video, I actually have so much fun learning every aspect of this game and I think Insym is a core reason for that.

This is such a crazy challenge. My friend and I have been doing no evidence insanity runs for a month or so now and we’re constantly saying “man without Insym we’d never be able to do this”. Some day maybe we’ll try this one too 😁 thank you for all the infinite game knowledge, especially in phas

33:00 not a bad idea- they could make a ghost either like water or have a hatred of water and that could manifest by them never turning on sinks or showers; or turning them on more often.

i really love how positive you are about such a huge change to the game! in other games or some content creators can often be VERY critical about updates or game reworks. (ahem... overwatch). i can see how having ur level reset and a challenge of managing money might be upsetting to some, but your outlook on it and staying positive about getting to replay the game again instead of losing everything is really nice to see :)
A month or so ago me and a friend bought phasmo, having a blast and started to watch phasmo tips and other videos. Helpful and great content!

Honestly friendly ghost mode is underrated. The whole not giving rewards thing sucks, but it's a great way to become more familiar with the map layouts, and to focus on getting better at one skill without having to worry about losing your items or surviving hunts.
@@MorganJ I would also like to recommend faster player speed too but with 1 second hunt grace period. It helps you acclimate to no evidence runs and how professionals play while also being usually guaranteed to escape the ghost during hunts unless it becomes too fast from cursed hunts. A great way to get to know ghosts is to use the mirror as your set cursed possession so that you already know where the ghost is at the start of the game and you can focus on identifying the type based on its behavior in hunts and interactions.
Was trying the Apocalypse Challenge today, and I definitely could NOT outrun a Deogen.
they will run to you super quickly then slow down to almost a crawl- so long as you are not trying to get past them in a doorway you can pretty much avoid them with walk speed.
As a new player learning the game has honestly been really fun even though there are so many ghosts. It’s also been a breeze due to your ghost guides and just watching how you play. I even found a pdf of your ghost guide that I used to take notes on. Which has been really helpful to have while playing. I watch your content and I’m like I can do that then I’m like uhhhh what did he say about this ghost again? I’d say the hardest part about this game other than memorization is not freaking out during hunts and ghost events. I start to panic and it’s very difficult to navigate in the dark sometimes. You do it so effortlessly. The only map I have down to science is tangle wood. Thanks for all of your hard work you’ve made the new comers have less of a overwhelming experience!
Gotta say that between phasmo and demonologist, I will say that the latter is like a gut punch with all the scares it throws while the former is more a builder of the horror.
Still enjoy them both, even with the occasional heart attack from the first map in demonologist

I’m pretty new to this game (level 80), so I’ve been having fun learning. Whenever there was a hunt, I was dead 100% of the time. 😆 Now, I’m better able to either hide or loop the ghost. I appreciate your content, as I’m learning how to determine the ghost type earlier and not die simultaneously. So, thanks for helping me not lose my gear. 😂

I had an idea for a concept that phasmo can do, it's an upgrade to the hiding but we can then utilize the beds for hiding. So if the beds weren't blocked off we can hide under them. This can make the ghost change how they are hunting to the crawling animation to find those who are under the bed

I have a question for anyone in the comments. Is it normal for photos taken of the ghost during a hunt not registering as ghost photos? I've had stuff recently register as 'interaction' photos or plain photos while trying to take a photo of the ghost during a hunt, but they never seem to count as a ghost photo. For clarification, the reason we tried at all was issues getting an event where the ghost appears, and one of the objectives was 'capture a photo of the ghost.'
I have had this happen too, and when I asked in multiplayer I heard that it was due to the ghost blinking. I must be taking photos when the ghost is invisible.

Deos are awesome if you know and are prepared for "hey this ghost might be a deo", but I used the summoning circle today (early in the game, as I know from your videos that I need to be high sanity for it), and died to one. 😂
Seeing you turn on all of those lights always gives me flashbacks to when the breaker would break every time you turned on more than like, 3 lights on small maps. 🙃
There's a village called "Point Hope" in Alaska. When you mentioned it in the riddles, I had a conspiracy that it would be a new map

It would be really interesting if there was a setting that let you see the ghost when it isn't hunting, so some of the weirder behaviors could be explained more easily.

I'd imagine an upgrade for the photo cam could go something like tier 1 being the current version (with a different look, like a disposible or film camera), tier 2 being the current one with the extra feature that photos can override other photos if it has a higher star rating/would give more money, and tier 3 could have the same but an extra thing (I like the idea of a flash, maybe it could stun the ghost during a hunt)
Since salt will do stuff, I would not mind a camera obscura style anti hunt effect

My most died to ghost is a Thaye and most common ghost is a Phantom, I see these guys alot.
I know this is phasmo and all. But holy crap. You three playing Barotrauma was hilarious.
If you think Public lobbies in Phasmo are weird. Just try public lobbies in barotrauma. You'll be infected with husk eggs before you even undock XD
Most deaths changes from Myling to Raiju and my most common is Revenant
This difficulty is hella grindable, usually do it on tanglewood, you can easily do 100+ levels a day

I tried your spot in Edgefield for the Yokai test. And we got such a BS yokai. He went straight to me after going down the stair. Then, we tested in the garage: a friend was holding a flashlight in the garage. The ghost went down the stairs, then straight into the garage. So we definitely ruled out the Yokai... god this was frustrating.
I get bodied by spirits the most and it actually pisses me off LOL
Still, I'd like a dozen more ghosts and another dozen of maps! That's be awesome and amazing!

they probably "fixed" the bug by ending the hunt early if nobody's in the house, and the reason why it keeps happening to people is because it still takes several seconds after the hunt starts for the door to actually close, which is plenty of time for people to just walk out of the still-open door, as you did here
The first 20 times i've played phasmo i died every single time.
This game is so difficult when you dont know nothing. now im lvl 250 and i STILL cant find a mimic consistently.

Hey Insym! Thank you for all your video's it's really helpful! I'm a fairly new player and I only play with my boyfriend because I'm too scared to play alone. Got any tips for that, to not be so scared when I go into a map by myself? Also, there is ghost filled in at most deaths. No clue why.

Started playing recently, Figuring out the demon is not too bad. But yes, I've died a lot. Died on first revenant, first deogen, first wraith (she teleported on me, hunted right after), ... I've also died three times cause I threw my smudge sticks instead of lighting them. Fun Times
Most Deaths: Obake for me, because I tried looping it way too often, hoping to see it shape-shift

don't know if you are gonna read this, but i'm curious about what you said about onryo, you said the onryo roams away from candles, and it's not the first time you say that, but in a recent video psycho did a special about onryo and said that the roaming from candles was not a thing, so i'm confused about who is right haha

You said any second now but Psycho said, a few days ago,that it was the second week in August for the update? I wasn't sure if he meant the beginning of the second week or the end of the second week. I assumed I had at least this week to up my level a little bit more.
