Dear Rudolph, I am an old Uitenhage boy, living in Thailand. I am a subscriber, and I die waiting for your next video, because it takes me back to the "good old days." Keep up the great work, it is much appreciated! I only wish we had RUclips when I still lived there, because, even though I caught many fish, and some nice crackers and cob, I have learnt so much from watching you guys on how to read the water and different bait presentations, not to even mention the dingle-dangle. I realize I was more lucky than good at angling most of the time! God Bless, and thank you very much again.
Thanks for the second episode of the Nqabara trip. Hopefully you can get back there in Kobtober. Kob looks very similar to two related species also from the Sciaenidae family that are a very popular fish on the east and southern coastal areas of the USA. They go by many local names but I know them as Black Drum (genus Pogonias) and it's cousin the Redfish ( genus Sciaenops ). October is also the prime month for catching these fish. The large ones are called bull drum because of its huge shoulders and fat belly it gets when filling up on mullet before winter. They are called drum from the drumming croaking sounds they make when landed on the beach.
