    Respected Sir I have confusion regarding focal plane setup between whatever you have told in video and nuke manual. Here are lines from nuke manual "focal plane setup - displays depth-of-field (DOF)
    • red - Less than DOF (in front of the area that’s in focus).
    • green - Inside DOF (in focus). Note that if depth of field is set to 0, nothing is displayed in green.
    • blue - Greater than DOF (behind the area that’s in focus)." So according to manual blue should go far & red should come front. Pls Correct me if I'm wrong.

    I have everything in place, but when I hit the button FOCAL PLANE SETUP, the whole screen turns BLUE (frame size is 1920x1080), what am a doing wrong here?

      You need to adjust the focal plane setup

    thats awesome sir but i have a one doubt if we don't have a grass just have a cg model and we have to merge with plate then how to create a depth in that one?

    • @VFXVIBE
      @VFXVIBE  3 года назад

      You are talking about if character and bg is on separate layer? If yes then I will recommend to render depth pass combined.

      @@VFXVIBE like if I have a image from internet. And I added in my cam - image plane and then I added a 3D object on it. Now I have to manage the depth of my 3d object like plate. How I do that?

    I have one confusion. Are Z depth and Z defocous same? Or they are different?

    • @VFXVIBE

      Are you talking about nodes??

    • @bikramjitroy6155
      @bikramjitroy6155 2 года назад

      @@VFXVIBE no, I am not talking about node. I meant that... Are they same or different in real world or Compositing? I actually watched a matchmoving showreel where an artist used CG elements. In his breakdown video, he mentioned "zdepth" and "Z defocous" simultaneously. So I am asking this question. I believe it's same (I maybe wrong). But then why he mentioned separately?!

      @@VFXVIBE well, the video I am talking about, it's been uploaded on "theCGbros" channel and the artist is Taylor Cooper. You can search by these key words.
