In Philly, "Tic Tac Dough" and "Wheel of Fortune" aired back-to-back from 1983-85 at 7PM & 7:30PM on WPVI. TTD's sister show, "The Joker's Wild", which aired for years behind TTD, was moved to 11AM (during Jack Berry's last year of life, Bill Cullen replaced Berry following his death in May, 1984). "Jeopardy!" with Alex Trebek, premiered in September, 1984 at 12:30PM on KYW, replacing reruns of "Card Sharks" with Jim Perry. In September, 1985, "J!" moved to WPVI at 7PM, pairing it with its sister show, WOF. This has remained unchanged since. Reruns of the first season of J! aired at 11AM on WPVI, replacing TJW. TTD, which by that time with Jim Caldwell replacing Wink as host, moved to WCAU at 9AM for its final season. TJW was possibly dropped from the Philly airwaves for its final season, as I didn't see it.
WPIX-TV (channel 11) in NYC was the first to aired this game show on weeknights back in 1978 until about 1983 or 1984. The show moved to WOR-TV (channel 9) on weekday afternoons until 1986.
14:34 The stereo was silver. This show was taped maybe a year before the industry switched to black. My 1986 JVC RX-5V is black but the Radio Shack tape deck mated to it is silver.

I'm not a fan of the Bonus Category because you can keep taking it and can win a game without your opponent getting a turn (or barely getting one). To me, Double or Nothing is fairer because you are risking something. I'd probably like it if like Double or Nothing the board didn't shuffle so you can at most gain two boxes at a turn.
That was why, if a contestant won via either of those categories without their opponent getting a single symbol on the board, the defeated contestant would be allowed to return in the next game.
Kit lost to Bob when Kit misspelled misspell with double or nothing and then Bob chose the double or nothing and got both. Then, by the position of Kit's double or nothing after that. Then Bob's double or nothing made him win. It was on here, but it is nowhere to be found.
Its been about 40 years since I've watched this.so I'm watching the 2 game here and he didn't get the Dragon and the bonus game was over and I'm like,what happened?.. I had forgotten you only got 4 chances...it should be you play until you either win,or get the Dragon. Cheap game prize.

The contestant was one answer away from winning the grand prize but obviously didn't know the answer to the question, so he/she said "Wink, I heard an audience member say the answer." Wink hesitantly threw out the question, the contestant correctly answered the replacement question. What a scam! I felt so bad for the other contestant who was so obviously cheated... SMH... It was Spike’s older cousin from MLP G1 and G4. And it’s the same dragon used in a home version of the board game that I got including the box, the instructions, and the Bonus Game cards that have four Mean Dragons.
Wink’s real name? Winston Conrad. Kinda boring, and most un-game-show-host-like! He also interviewed Elvis on the radio eons ago. Wink rocks! Total pro, took it very seriously.
