As a Vietnam Veteran's daughter I appreciate the opportunity to listen to music from his era of service. I know it was traumatic for all who honorably served. God Bless the broken hearted bodies & souls
My grandpa was a Ground crew for USAF at Ubon Ratchathani Airbase, He has rearmed a lot of F4 Phantom II (especially 8th Fighter wing) , F105 Thundercheif and F102 Delta dagger.
🫡 I salute you and your brother! Thanks for the Welcome Home! Though belated, it still means everything! Your brother knows and you probably know as well.!!! At the time of our Homecoming, returning to our beloved country which we fought for! We were not given a welcome home boys reception by many people here in the USA‼️😡😩🤷🏽♂️ That’s just how it was. Now I just think, “F” them! They never served so how the F*%k would they know what it was like? We lost a bunch of good people there, and I lost personal friends! Every single one of those lost and those who returned deserved a “Welcome Home” Soldier, Marine, Sailor, Air Cavalry Pilots, Door Gunners, etc., Corp Man, Nurse, and so on and on‼️❤️🇺🇸👍🏽 As you were @josemoreno3334 your the best for acknowledging and welcoming Home all those who served with honor‼️🙏🏽
Got my draft cards in 72, scared shitless. Number 13, but i was going. Dad served front line Korea. Went in as a private came out as a private. Punched his drill sargent in the nose! Loved that guy!
@@user-iu5vf6us4q my father was drafted into the marine Corp during WWII. Did not like a drill Sargent get in his face and punched him out. I thought it was cool. My 2 brother on laws were drafted for Vietnam. 1 was a conscience objector to the war so.they made him. He got shot running out under fire bringing the wounded out. He said he would not want his son to experience such a thing
Interseting date range bro - as 'offically'' 1973 was then end of military involvement. Be interested in a clue what the 73 tp 84 part was (not refuting it, just interested)
I was young 19 /20 yrs old. Watching friends and relatives dieing for an unwinnable war. Great casualties for the military as well as the civilians of the country caught up in the cross fire. No one in their right mind would willingly choose to have been there
People love to say we lost that war. We forced north Vietnam to sign a peace treaty that was NOT in their favor. So not a loss, even though we could have walked into the north any time we chose and flattened them. The political climate wasn't conducive to that, and could have lead to a much MUCH greater war. So yeah, nobody wanted to be there, and a lot of people died for no reason. But we didn't lose.
Love to say ?? Mate your an idiot. Only some brainwashed patriot clown would believe that. There aint no north and south vietnam. You trued to fkatten them and they owned you . Just like Afghanistan, korea and every other proxy war youve started since ww2. Your sht cuntry has cost us and plenty of other countries our brave soldiers for your illegal wars . Psssh didnt lose vietnam. You should be fkn embarrassed! Iraq ! Lies ! Take a seat .@jeromethiel4323
My brother was with the last reconnaissance division in Vietnam. My father was with the first reconnaissance division in WWII. My father started it and his son finished it. Both survived thankfully (although my brother’s gunner did get shot in the buttocks through the bottom of the helicopter.
A man I knew back in the day spent his Vietnam tour in the Navy. He told me once that those who came back felt that that war was...unfinished. ? P. S. Even in the middle of the night, he had to get out of bed and shut off the faucet if water was dripping. ..
It would be nice to go back to this period of time and stay there for ever ❤❤!! The people, the drugs, the music 🎶, just a much simpler time, the amount of fun and the travel was so awesome! Imagine being 21 and being with friends and going across the country, good weather and beautiful places to go, those evening's during the summer, every footstep with your most beautiful people!! Laying under the stars 🌟 at night in a sleeping bag with your beautiful girl and making love ❤️ 😍
God bless everyone; our enemies were our own making. Many vets have reconciled by returning to Vietnam. Anyone who hasn't been there has something good to look forward to.
