I'm always proud that the missionaries couldn't stop the Samoan tattoo practices the way they did majority of the other Oceanic islands. Also happy to see a revival in tattooing on other islands, some of it led by Samoan traditional tattooists. I prefer tattoos that are artistic or have deep meaning, but that's a preference. Would be nice to see a video comparing different cultural tattoos and see everyone's reactions to it.

It is a shame that in Korea it is still not ‘legal’ and hopefully that will change. I have seen some great work from Korean tattoo artists and would love to add to my collection on my next trip. Any tips on how to go about finding a tattoo artist in Seoul, I would be keen to know.

While my nephew was killed at the young age of 21, his 2 brothers and his squad from the police department all went and got a tattoo of my nephews badge number on their chest. I was moved by that, and decided to get one also. Just a memorial, so I would never forget he died in vain.

I’ve wanted a dragon for a while, but it would have to be a specific dragon and it would have to be either on my back or going up my calf, and that could be tricky to do with a smaller dragon that has to have detail and has to be done in a few sessions. I’m a writer as well as avid reader, so I always wanted an inkwell and quill pen dipped in the ink because it symbolized, to me, who I am as a writer. However, while I’m good with pain, and dealing with pain, tattoos are a different kind of pain because it’s a needle going into the skin and I’ve never been a fan of needles.
