I found you a month or so ago, and I have watched every episode since. I'm trying to start a 3d printing business too, and this vlog series has been so insightful, helpful, and inspirational. Your candidness has been nothing but amazing to me. Thanks :)
I enjoyed your soapbox and agree with all your opinions. I have Been Laser Engraving for 5 years now and 3D printing for 3 years. I still work my day job, and I am 73 years old. I do what I do because I enjoy it! Wishing you a prosperous 2025!👍
I have never owned a 3D printer as of 1 week ago. Since then, I purchased a P1S Combo, A1, and two A1 Mini's. I have multiple CNCs and Lasers and have been selling items on eBay for 10yrs. I plan on adding to my eBay store and opening an Esty store next week. My biggest hurdle is learning CAD. Thanks for the help OffDaBench.
Started my shop on October 28th and just hit 367 sales today! Love what you're doing with this channel man. Really considering documenting my journey like you in 2025. Have a great new year and many blessings to you and your family!
Wow. What a great video. All of your points are aligning with what i think about when I think entrepreneurship. You seem very wise, and I thank you for sharing your wisdom. Best of luck in 2025.
Loving your journey so far! This has been a great inspiration in the printing space for me. Watching all your videos has gotten me to take the plunge into finally launching my own printing store. I hope you meet your goal and look forward to more videos.
Man, I think we're around the same age and you're very inspiring. I wish I had your skills, and you have a really cool mindset. Thank you for putting everything in perspective. Very wise advice. Happy new year and good luck with your business. 🎉 Looking forward to see more content
Another good video, Chris! You've learned a lot about the struggles of a small business owner. Hopefully, one day your business will grow to the point to give you the option to make it full time. As someone who was self-employed for over 29 years, I know it's not easy. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat!! Like several others, I ordered the STLs to help get you over the top! I think you'll make it!! :) They will make a great first, real print job once I finish setting up my 3D printer. By the way, my stepson (also named Chris) loved the DeWalt charger and battery holder (the "combo" I ordered not realizing it was a "combo" 😁) right before Christmas! Best of luck in 2025!! I'm eagerly waiting to hear what your plans and goals are for the new year.
I want a 3D print business I picked up a brand new flashforge adventure 5m printer off marketplace for $150. Total steal, I’ve been watching your videos and have rethought what I want, I swapped to part time at my day job and have been spending all of my free time learning how to 3D model as I want to make my own models, 3D printing isn’t hard but I can say it’s a big learning curve if you know absolutely nothings
Very important point to add to #5.. You also don't know what you don't know, and neither does anyone else. Why its important to surround yourself with knowledge and and people that know more than you, this allows you to fail forward and learn with every failure. The faster you can diagnose the failure, the faster you can make the next attempt. This is also why being small has so many perks vs big brands, they cant pivot on failures as quickly.
@@OfficialOffDaBench I just like helping where I have knowledge. Been in the space for a decade+ and have multiple businesses outside this space as well as worked in many sectors so have a lot of knowledge and experience to spread. Lot of unknowns people don't expect that can creep into processes if you let them.
Jurt ordered your STL file and I dont even have my printer yet lol, but I wanted to support your channel as its has been great content. Thanks for all you do.
Dude, love your content! Found it about a month ago. I started a 3D printing business in 2024 that’s centered around cryptocurrency. What a learning curve it was… Learned a lot. 2025 is gonna be exciting applying everything I’ve learned so far. Good luck to you in 2025 my dude!
Bought the STL files. I use the Ikea Skadis, so I probably won't use them much but it was more important to help boost those sale numbers by at least 1 more. Also, if you ever decide to offer the files for the coat hooks or ikea skadis holders, I would definitely purchase those.
HI, I have an A1 Mini and wondering what settings you use for quality prints? Like roughly, .4mm nozzle and standard PLA settings? Or do you use .2mm fine nozzle and then fine tune the slicer at all? Thanks
Hey man, if you could help me understand how the taxes and stuff works on etsy that would help me out a ton. I know that you are going to make a video soon about the money side of things but if you think the process of taxes is not too boring I would love to see a video or just a reply to this comment to help me understand more about the finances.
"Be careful of the influences you let into your life" For REAAAL. "Wow who would ever wanna buy stupid little 3d printed figurines you can't making nothing of that" Yeah you can't but tell that to Dancyn 3D Prints lol
As a business owner, I don't want to compete with Dancyn 3D. He can outsell and undercut any small 3d shop. Good example of why I design my own products :) The articulated snakes are cool though
Can't emphasize 3:57 enough. Do it as a hobby with revenue first until it starts to take off more and you learn more and more. People even in Europe underestimate the cost of Health Care if you're the one providing for the whole costs and not shared between employee and employer.
I just ordered the STLs from your shop. I don't even have a 3D printer, but I've been enjoying your content and want to see you reach 365 😁
You are awesome 🎉
Thanks! 😊

I am right there with you. CAD is a struggle! Keep at it. It’s worth it!
No problem!

A very generous compliment! All lessons I've learned the hard way

Just went to buy the STL pack to push you over the hump and saw you did it! LFG! Happy New Year, excited to see what is in store for 2025!
I just ordered my own 3-D printer because of you and I am trying to start a business on Etsy. Thanks for all your help!

Your videos are so good, but how do you come up with ideas to print and sell?
Happy New Year, mate. All the best for 2025.
Happy New Year!
Just purchased the stl, hope this will help get you there in these last hours 😉
Thanks for the support!
I'm a fan of yours from Brazil, your tips really helped me and I hope to see more of your content
More is on the way!
372 Sales at the time of watching. Congrats on making the goal!!
What do you use for book keeping to keep track of your expenses? I've been trying to figure this out as an etsy shop owner myself.
Right now, an excel doc. Every time I make a purchase I save the receipt, log the date, and enter the total cost.
@OfficialOffDaBench Thanks. I figured as much but wasn't sure if there was a more visual program you were using.

I'll keep that in mind! I just bought some Skadis a few weeks ago.
Why do you use the polymaker filament opposed to the Bambu lab PLA?
HI, I have an A1 Mini and wondering what settings you use for quality prints? Like roughly, .4mm nozzle and standard PLA settings? Or do you use .2mm fine nozzle and then fine tune the slicer at all? Thanks
So, what are the products you sell ? Do you have a link?
Never mind just find you 😊

Just purchased your pegboard print files. Will these work with the 3Dp rintable multiboard system?
I'm not sure! It was designed for 1" pegboard you find at all major box stores like Lowes and Home Depot
This vid is fire:)
378 sales!!
What is your day job, if you don’t want to say that’s cool.
He’s going to find that RUclips pays better than selling prints lol

Yup! That's why you see solo business owners paying themselves anywhere from $75+/hour. Much of that goes right to taxes, healthcare, etc
