The first homebrewed pomade I ever tried and look where it got me. Absolutely love this stuff. If I had to use one pomade for the rest of my life, it'd be Lockhart's Heavy. Amazing pomade for hotter weather
Heavy Metal Pomp By far one of the best and a summer go to for me! I just got another tin in the Spicebomb scent and I'm super excited! Rock on!🤘🏼
First OB heavy for me. So good😁😁
Heavy Metal Pomp yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyu
The Workman’s Pomp what do you tell your barber for the hair cut you currently have
Taper the sides medium length so I can still use product, leave the length on the top , blend or taper the back. Best thing you can do is bring a picture of what style you’re interested in to your barber!
LOVE the intro, rewatching it for the third time :D
I try this one because of your review and I love it now. Thanks !!
It’s the jam!!!!
I've been growing my hair out long for a few years now, but I'm looking for a change. I'm planning on getting the biggest classic pomp I can and I will be using this product, it seems amazing. Thanks for the great review man.
Dude, send me a link when you and if you get a picture up!
Heavys are my favorite and this is the only one I might like as much as murrays
DElena's Co I️ agree. I️ use heavies until I️ like the buildup, then switch to mediums
Seems like a great product! Awesome video man!
deff dig the opening to the video bro. keep that pomp beautiful.
Hey man! Love the video. This was actually the very first pomade I bought and tried and I can't get away from it! But, I have a question...what boar hair brush did you use in the video?
+guitardude619 I actually got that brush from a beard trimmer kit. It was too coarse for my beard but works really well for styling hair...plus I already have a beard brush I like!
I've tried 3 different water based pomades, and so far, they can't hold down my hair, and they feel extremely uncomfortable.
Once I switched over to oil based, it worked like a charm. This product is great for thick and stubborn hair! Unlike water based, I'm able to reshape my hair and not have hard hair.
I don't care much for heavies usually but the way your hair looks with this convinced me to pick this one up!
+BramV013 It’s all about the application! As long as you use a small amount and brush it in I think you’ll like it a lot!
I'll definitely do that, thanks for the tip. On the other hand, I've never been disappointed by anything Lockharts so it'll be fine I'm sure.
+BramV013 Yeah, you’ll be fine. This is good stuff
Hey man, great review as always! I've got a question, does it hold better than Goon Grease? I saw another comment asking how it compares, just want to clarify on how they compare on holding. I've got super thick and heavy hair and Ive been using Goon Grease, but lately its not been able to tame it as much as it used to so I'm looking for something that holds better.
+Ricky Nelson Hey Bruh, hit me up and I'll let you borrow the melon for a bit! This stuff for sure will tame that thick curly stuff.
The Workman's Pomp oh for sure man thanks!
What's the difference between Lockhart's Heavy and Lockhart's Goon Grease? Their Goon Grease is heavy hold; so how does this one differ from it?
+Nesorel Goon Grease is actually firm hold and has shine.
I forgot how much I died the first time I saw this intro 😭😭😭🤣🤣
I just got one, it's amazing
intto always dope!!
Would this stuff be good for curly/wavy hair?
Yes
Great video man!
Loving the goon intro
Where is the medium and light review??? I’d love to see them
They are one the way! That and Gents Grease!
Awesome video like always my dude. Also, FIRST
How would you compare this to Reuzel pink? Would you say they’re about the same ?
This has a stronger hold over all but is less slick than Pink.
Do you lose a lot of hair from the tug and pull? Hahah
No
Is Lockhart's heavy similar to Ruezel pink? I've been using that but wanting to try new products
+Ethan Smith I feel like it’s heavier and less slick than pink
The Workman's Pomp thanks for the info man! I'll have to buy some soon
Nice review, what about the shine? Is super shine, medium or matt?
Very little shine
is this the slickest heavy out there? it looks like big slick was discontinued!
Slickest heavier product would probably be goon grease, but you can use Lockharts heavy and start off with a lighter pomade and put the Lockharts on top and it’ll apply easier
how does this differ from goon grease? If at all.
+Brandon C Goon grease has more shine, is less waxy, and has less endurance and hold
Hey Brandon. Can you compare the coco vanilla scent with the Layrite coco vanilla?
It’s similar, just not as sweet as layrite
Should I get this or Black ship pomade? Note: I live in a hot and humid country.
Both are good, it depends on how easy the wash out you want is.
Hanz de fuko claymation or Lockharts heavy hold?? Which ones good for thick hair?
+npsy nup Depends on what you like. Heavy hold is better but is oil based.
Finally
If this is a beginner to intermediate heavy? What are a more advanced heavier pomades out there?
So a good example would be Murray’s. Most people just starting out using a heavy might find the scoop ability, application, and wash out really hard to deal with.
Is it better to apply oil based pomade to towel dried hair of blow dried hair?
Doesn’t matter, it comes down to preference. Its going to be less aggressive on towel dried hair but some people like to use it on strictly dry hair
@@TheWorkmansPomp i have thick dry hair with too much volume, maybe towel dried hair could be better for me especially with this pomade
@xPsYcHoxLaG is try towel dried with small scoops for sure
@@TheWorkmansPompthanks man
Have you ever tried reuzel pink? You prefer lockharts?
For your next video can you review the pacinos pomade plz
I have videos already filmed and ready to post but this pomade has been on my list for a while! I’ll get to it!
Ok and thanks
Are you still using it and shoul i use shampoo everyday after using it plz kindly reply.
You don’t have to use shampoo every day but I would adjust how much you use the following days based on the amount you first applied
@TheWorkmansPomp did you faced any kind of side effect for example hairfall etc after using it regularly?btw thank you for your reply.
@dinar12351 No. if you have extensive hair falling out from pomade it’s most likely not the product
You should tell your barber to leave more hair on the sides, bring the part lower. This way you can do a nice classic executive contour and Pomp 👍🏼
Do you like applying this to damp or dry hair?
I personally apply it to lightly dampened hair
How is the hold of this compared to Suavecito oil-based?
Stronger, waxier, less greasy
@@TheWorkmansPomp thanks for the review and for responding! I have a can of Suavecito oil-based and I always felt like it would be much better if it was a stronger hold. I've seen reviews (including yours) of the Suavecito oil-based and it's very difficult for me to style compared to the review videos (possibly because of my hair type). After watching your review of lockharts and hearing back from you I'll give it a try! I'm interested in using oil-based more often nowadays. Thanks again!
No problem! Good thing about trying Lockhart’s is you can get it the oil based for cheap and even on amazon or other sellers!
should i get this or goon grease helpp
Depends on what your looking for. Goon Grease is a little more flexible and shiny but Lockhart’s Heavy has more hold, build up, and is more matte.
Is oil based pomade good for winter also?
Yeah, it’s good whenever. I tend to use lighter in the winter and heavier in the summer
Why did you cut your hair so short?
+RJ Carter Because it’s the summer and I’m dying of heat at my job. Don’t worry, the sides are growing back as we speak
Great to hear. I think it looks awesome long.
Video starts @ 2:25. Thank me later, everyone. 👍

Easy to scoop ???!!!!! this shit felt like I was trying to dig at candle wax
Some batches are easier than others to scoop, but if it seems hard just give it a little rub to warm it up
