  • The Javelin's HEAT warhead is capable of defeating modern tanks by attacking them from above, and is also useful against fortifications in a direct attack flight.

    Can someone explain what causes the green exhaust flames that it has sometimes? I am referring to the flames coming out of the actual launcher when it exits the tube. I've seen it in quite a few photos/videos, where it's sometimes a green flame, other times a orange/yellow typical flame color. I was thinking maybe that it's the camera used to record them, or is it the type of propellant the rocket uses that makes it green?

    For the cost of one missile you could buy a block of land in Eden NSW Australia and have change for a 4x4 Modern Vehicle.. nice.

    • @MilitaryWeapons
      @MilitaryWeapons  7 лет назад +3

      +Teddyballgame T 14 Armata has not yet participated in any combat, and it is not known how he will react to Javelin, but with all his advanced characteristics, and at 900 RHA armor is likely to be able to be withstand to direct impact from Javelin.. 😉

      Even if the Javelin strikes the top of the tank's turret .

    • @TeddyKrimsony
      @TeddyKrimsony 7 лет назад +1

      the T14 has reactive armor on its top armor so it probably can survive a hit or more from the Javelin

    • @teddyballgame4823
      @teddyballgame4823 7 лет назад +3

      But does it not have a tandem warhead to defeat reactive armor .

    Can anyone comment on its potential effectiveness against T-14 Armata. Will Javelin and other top attack capable missiles work on T-14s with its unman turret, while its crews are well protected in an armored cabin within its hull.

    $246,000! American military equipment is extremely expensive!

    • @joshmeads
      @joshmeads 4 года назад

      @Chin Gon probably in technological areas, but in certain areas other countries are as equals (fighter jets, Tanks, infantry weapons). Prior to the fall of the ussr, they were on par with most US equipment. Plus you know the weapon manufacturers are making a huge profit.

    • @joshmeads
      @joshmeads 4 года назад

      @Chin Gon I have done my research, the typhoon, x2 shinshin, fc 31, su 57, Dassault Rafale, all comparable to the f22 and f35 at less than half the cost, even a quarter of the cost. I'm not saying the US fighter is worse, in fact it's probably better, but when you can have 2,3,4 jets of relatively the same quality it shows the insane price of American equipment and obvious price gouging of American military manufacturers. In other categories like tanks they're other tanks that are just as good if not better than the M1 (leopard).

    • @liamyounger2743
      @liamyounger2743 6 лет назад +9

      Actually the new JAGM can, It is fitted with a tri-mode seeker that is designed to see through smoke screens both IR and standard. Top attack also gives weapons like the Javelin/JAGM/Hellfire Longbow/Brimstone/MMP/N-Law/Spike a distinct advantage against heavily armored tanks like the Abrams, T-90,T-14,Type99,Challenger 2, and leclerc given that the top of the turret is lightly armored.

    • @nehorlavazapalka
      @nehorlavazapalka 6 лет назад +9

      yes, T-90 is likely toast, the current Armata lacks top active protection, so current Aramata'sa re dead as well.

    • @carsonstephens2508
      @carsonstephens2508 5 лет назад +1

      Blackest Skyline no. To destroy one tank. Spending $200k to destroy a $6m tank is worth it

    • @bucobuggato8342
      @bucobuggato8342 5 лет назад

      Carson Stephens Dude, the m1 Abrams is worth as much as 6m$.the only tanks that jihadists can afford, as said in the video, are tanks like t55 and type 69 which are both extremely cheap tanks (they are not even worth half the price of a javelin (according to wikipedia the javelin cost 256.000$ per unit). So, yeah Blackest Skyline is right, the Usa are throwing a shit ton of money down the toilet just to kill some jihadists.
