Michael Calandra teaches some fighting applications for the last move in "Naihanchi Kata." Nami Gaeshi "Returning Wave Kick," is also demonstrated. This took place at the NY Seminar held at Seishinkan East in Floral Park, LI.

Try Naihanchi on the ground..... the template is like learning the alphabet from A to Z....learning the Kata from beginning to end. Then you take letters throughout the alphabet and create words...techniques in kata. Then you take "words" from different kata and create sentences....That's you arsenal of techniques for different applications for self-defense....Nage-waza, atemi-waza, shime-waza, kansetsu-waza, etc.
