SCHILTHORNBAHN 20XX - Delivery of cabins & test drives

The cabins specially designed for Section 1 are an interplay between design and technology. Numerous aspects had to be taken into account during development and construction. But that's not all - the ready-to-use cabins now have to find their way from Austria to Lauterbrunnen, where they are assembled with great skill and millimetre precision. The two cabins are transported to Lauterbrunnen in a special convoy with flashing cars in front. The whole process takes place in the middle of the night in order to disrupt regular traffic as little as possible, because with a lorry width of 4 metres, both lanes are quickly used in the tunnel. The world's steepest cable car can soon be experienced - on 14 December, the first section of the SCHILTHORNBAHN 20XX will go into public operation.
