I really enjoyed all of your reactions this weekend. I think Robin's solo work was much more recognized in Europa than in the USA. I remember that his songs were played on the radio a lot, especially "Juliet" which was an immense success. Thanks again for the BG marathon.
I was a kid in 1985 but I sure heard this song in the 90s on radio stations that have oldies type of music. The kind of songs I like to listen to. Another great one by Robin is "Boys do fall in love" from 1984.
Thank you for reacting to this. I emailed you about this song forever ago. This is my absolutely favorite song by Robin. Plus Gone With the Wind Have a good week!!!
Thank you for this reaction and introducing me to this song! Love it! I appreciate your recognition of the Brothers' solo work, your dedication to Bee Gees Marathon weekends and what you feature on your channel overall. Thanks Chad😘
I loved this album, I actually had to buy it from overseas. Toys and gone with wind are also awesome songs from this album, virtually no radio play in the states. Robin worked alot with Maurice producing on solo albums. They charted overseas Thanks for being you Chad
Love, LOVE, L - O - V - E this song! And, this clip brings you straight back to the mid '80's - hairstyles included!😉 "HEARTBEAT IN EXILE" is another great track on this album. Great reaction, Chad - and a perfect ending to this weekend's Bee Gees Marathon, my Friend!💕
This is the very song that inspired me to produce my 80's style synthpop songs. I think you'll like "Another Lonely Night in New York", since it has a similar vibe.
Loved the 80s! I enjoyed this song. Robin sounded good - the different registers like you mentioned. Catchy tune. I never heard it on the radio though.
This album is great. It holds many great songs. Robin has a truly unique voice. I prefer it over Barry's. When I first got to know the Bee Gees I was in the Barry camp, but the more songs I got to know the more Robin won me over. It's his ability to convey his emotions thru his voice. While both Barry and Maurice can do the same, it's not the same intensity some how. However I do prefer the Bee Gees as a group over any of them solo. And I do love their solo album's a lot.
I don't really know this song well.I don't remember any air play. I liked what Robin did very much. It is a beautiful vocal. It is very 80's, and I hear Mo's instrumental influence. One thing, this song is incredibly sad. Robin sure knows how to sing his emotions.
Like A Fool may not have charted in the U.S. or U.K., but it was a smash hit in Brazil. One video of this song had a whopping 19 million views before it was privatized. Most of the comments on the video were in Brazilian Spanish.
Wow, a song I haven't heard before! From one of the brothers. You've done it Chad, bingo! It was good 👍 liked it alot. It's definitely going on the Playlist.
A bit of a stalker vibe in this video! Another great song from this CD was "You don't say us anymore". More of an 80's techno-pop and in a higher vocal register. My favorite Robin album is still "How old are you". The songs are very "pop". Thanks for your efforts again this weekend.
@@juanita6479 - Some of the songs on "50 SCD" can tear out your heart and stomp on it. "Days of wine and roses", "Don't cry alone", "All that I cherish", "I am the world", "All we have is now"....I can't even listen to "SYDNEY"! He was dealing with mortality, both his and Mo's.
Chad, thank you for reacting to our precious Robin's wonderful solo endeavor from 1985. You couldn't have made me happier for my 68th birthday which was yesterday! I'm looking forward to your reaction to "Toys". I promise that you won't be disappointed. Thanks again, Chad, for making my weekend and I'm already waiting patiently for next week.
Thank you, Juanita. I sure did have a wonderful weekend with all of Chad's great reactions. We're very fortunate to have him give up his time for us each and every week!
Please react to Robin Gibb "C'est La Vie, Au Revoir" from the originally planned second solo album "Sing Slowly Sisters". The album was produced in 1970, but was not released at the time. This is a beautiful soung.
How was this song not a huge hit? I do remember the video playing on MTV or VH-1., back in the day. There is one listing on RUclips that has 14 million views and there are too many video shorts made in this song to even count.
Off subject but would you consider doing some song from the Bee Gees 1972/73 unreleased album "A Kick In the Head Is Worth Eight in the Pants" There are some real treasures on that album. I especially like "Losers and Lovers."
Please please Chad do Robin Gibb and Alistar Griffith 2003. In My Lovers Prayer…although he is sharing the stage, it was after Moe died..it’s a live performance stripped down.
@@juanita6479 Me too he was so devastated by his divorce from Molly and not being able to see his children for some time. I have been through a divorce after 30 years of marriage and it makes you think your whole life was for nothing
I found the video a bit off it suggested an ex stalking his girlfriend in her new relationship. Maybe why it did not take off here in the UK. When I first heard the song without the video, in a T.V Studio with an automaton behind him copying his movements, I liked it. I do not remember it getting airplay but it was usually Top 40. (UK) I remember 'Boys do fall in Love' and 'Juliet'.
This song did show that Robin’s vocal range could go to baritone and perhaps a little bass. I remember Robin doing a song when he was young, I believe around 17 where he did the entire song in a deeper baritone register. I don’t remember the title of the song but I do know it is my least favorite song from any of The Bee Gees. This song is much better because it has more range.
Another great reaction Thanks Chad, you said the best way to request something is to email you but I keep looking and I can’t find an email address for you, I’ve followed you on Twitter and left comments on your RUclips reaction videos but can’t seem to find an email address please can you post the email address to send requests to thanks x
"Walls Have Eyes" was the best of Robin's 80's solo albums. The singing was much better than "How Old Are You" and the music was so much better than "Secret Agent". Robin never really had a (successful) solo career in the US, other than 'Oh Darling' which was only due to the success of The Bee Gees at the time.
The 2 singles released were not the greatest choices in my opinion. Yes the album was ballad heavy but there were a couple of dancey numbers that were much more appealing as singles. If any ballad was going to be released it should have been Gone with the Wind. It showed off his voice so much better and was a lot more melodic and emotional.

Remarkable talent was Robin H Gibb. Miles above the rest of others in pop/rock field.🌟
I love this voice from Robin.
This is like Robin’s best song of the 80s ✨
This is a great song. Robin has such a beautiful voice. I love all the Bee Gees. Thank you Chad!!
I just love Robin!
Robin just cant have a bad song.👍 i love anything he does💞💞 chad love all the music you play for bee gee weekends. Thank you🍻🥰
I love Robin's voice.
This is a great one from Robin. I like this low register voice from Robin.
Another great Robin song. Never get tired of hearing him sing!!🎵🎶🎵🎙

I love 80s music😄 and I love Robin's 80s solo stuff, including this one.
I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!
I love this song :)
Thank you Chad for this video
I love ROBIN...he is a classic!
I was listening to this song, and album, just last night! Thank you for showing Robin’s very underrated solo work some much deserved attention. ✌🏼❤️
Another great solo by Robin, Gone With the Wind. Same album I think. Love ya, Chad.

I don't think I have heard this before. I like it. I wish we could go back to the 80's.

Great reaction! It was near impossible for The Bee Gees to chart as The Bee Gees in the early 1980’s. But their songs owned every chart anyway
Thank you for this reaction and introducing me to this song! Love it! I appreciate your recognition of the Brothers' solo work, your dedication to Bee Gees Marathon weekends and what you feature on your channel overall. Thanks Chad😘
Great song. Robin and Maurice both had a wide range on their vocals. I love the song too. Love the ballads. Robin's voice is perfect for them.
Robin es absolutamente increíble, una voz imponente.
I love you Robin❤️🌹
Robin simply beautiful voice and he sings everything with his heart and soul ❤️🙏❤️⭐️

Even when singing falsetto Barry would use Robin’s natural singing voice. Recording in layers, Barry, Robin, Barry.

Oh yes, should listen too Letting Go by Barry. Wow.
They're all so very gifted.
Robin here displays his Assassin vocal colorature & register he's capable of
Thanks so much for this one, which I had not heard before…..love Robin’s voice.. unique beyond words!
They all 3 have that high and low tone...awesome.
I love Robin's 80s solo work! Yes, this song shows his range... he gets ip there in the high notes later in the song! I also love this.❤❤❤

Just love them Susie Q! Can't wait! 😀
Love the bee gees
The whole album is awesome!!
one song you would like is a Barry solo song called "shine shine"
One of Barry's best!
Essa música é muito linda! Robin Gibb é tudo, ele é incrível!

David, love that song as well. Not as melodramatic as the other songs on that album and more contemporary.

Walls have eyes is his best solo effort.
First time hearing this. Sad lyrics. Beautiful song.

Barry gibb star crossed lovers
You need to listen to Gone With The Wind from the same album. Someone said they thought it was about his second wife Dwina

That was a shame. He deserved more solo success especially since he was obsessed with being successful.
