I created these out of fresh holly for outdoors. Mine lasted more than a month. For longevity, you want to use them on a shadowed door that doesn't get too much direct light. You could also try preserving the holly in glycerin.
@@katherinebalcerek5484 thx so much...yes, it will be used on a shaded door. Does it help to mist them also? I looked for glycerin at Walgreens and Dollar General but didn't see any. They said that I could use suppositories -- yikes?!
I have several holly bushes in my yard but never thought of using for a wreath. I'll be doing this wreath in the fall for sure!! Thanks for sharing.
