There is no vanity in the pure testimony of Gordon B. Hinckley. "Jesus is my friend" are the most special words of a true heart.
Definitely wasn’t the Jesus of the Bible. Mormonism teaches a false gospel that does not save. Mormonism is not Christian because it denies one or more of the essential doctrines of Christianity that are stated in the Bible. Here is a basic list of what true Christianity teaches as Christian doctrine according to the Bible, not our interpretation.
There is only one God in all existence (Exodus 20:1-4; Isaiah 43:10; 44:6, 8; 45:5).
Jesus is divine (John 1:1, 14; 8:24; Col. 2:9)
Forgiveness of sins is by grace alone without works (Eph. 2:8-9; Rom. 3:28; 4:1-5)
Jesus rose from the dead physically (John 2:19-21; Luke 24:39)
The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus (1 Cor. 15:1-4). Mormonism denies that there is only one God in all existence and also denies the forgiveness of sins alone in Christ alone. @@SusanDianeHowell doesnt answer the issues raised with Mormonism. sounds like you do no want to address the truth , Jesus spoke with grace and truth. I hope you realize the error of Mormon doctrine in light of what the bible teaches, like in the verses i mentioned. i hope you read the scriptures for yourself and deal with the issues the verses address with mormonism. The EGYPTOLOGISTS and the ANTI-MORMON duplicates were PROVEN WRONG, proven wrong due to their assumption Joseph Smith was supposed to translate like an egyptologist. The egyptologists were debunked in 2014 to be exact. The anti-Mormons, in each one's case, when coming to find out that they and the egyptologists were debunked, do what? IGNORE IT.

Therefore, who are the ones that don't want to address the truth?

One of the most touching spiritual testimonies I have ever come across. He meant what he said, for sure.

Jesus Christ Our bbbff Big Brother best friend forever he showed us true love made the ultimate sacrifice for every one of us gave everything to save us he is the epitome of Awesomeness there is none more awesome than Jesus Christ and I know that he died for us and that he lives for us and that he has raised up his church again in these last days and the prophet of God stands at the head of the church and that this church will never be taken from the earth as God has said I can testify to you that this is the Lord's church and nothing in this earth not even all the powers of hell can shake my faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the name of Jesus Christ amen

If Jesus was your friend and savior, why were blacks excluded from the priesthood prior to 1978? Loving Jesus and excluding blacks is disturbing.

Why do you deny Jesus Christ and say He is a created being?
Eternity is a long time to be wrong.
