I think hyunjin's harley lyric best explains the song, harley was a normal girl until she fell inlove with joker and joker turned her into harley quinn. Venom is the start of the oddinary album so i think this is how explains how they embraced their maniac side.
My idea is that Venom is about the music industry. It's an incredibly toxic environment, but no matter what SKZ can't/won't leave because its the place they want to achieve in and even though there is a way out if they wanted, they won't go because they're addicted to their work and lifestyle, even if it may harm them.
Based on lyrics, I interpreted this as 'craving for adrenaline rush' since they say 'I want it more, spreading poison, addicting potion, urgency, circulate faster' Maybe the 'spider' represents risky stuff, so when they encounter it, adrenaline starts spreading and they love it. They keep trying to get into such situations willingly for ex. Han is getting himself shot at, IN and Chan with the bow, Hyunjin and Lee Know boxing with spiked gloves, Changbin in the magician box I can't make theories of the MV though. The bow scene of IN and Chan is direct reference to "Rest Energy" by Marina Abramovic and Ulay.

Like, when they're all locked up, Changbin is the only one able to escape for some reason. Felix is the one controlling the giant spider that's chasing them all. Lee Know is standing over the rest who are unconscious after eating the food. Just something that stood out to me that I don't fully understand but find really interesting.

Like Hyunjin's rap--we all know Changbin had a role in his rap training from the pre-debut era, and along with extremely diverse and creative songs, Hyunjin develops his skill even more. Seungmin said it himself, he practice a lot in order to embrace their songs. For Lee Know, well, you know, we know, how he likes the challenge Han gave in his high note songs like Secret Secret. Chan also let him be their dance leader. IN as well, Chan said that he saw him as a 'blank canvas' and wanted to help him 'paint' his voice with 'colors'. For Felix case, even with his voice which is one of THE most distinctive ones in kpop (or maybe the global music) world, IMO, wouldn't be this 'grown up' if he isn't in Stray Kids. Why? That's how genius 3Racha is. Bet no groups/producers know his character and know how to utilize/position it in song's parts better than 3Racha!
I think it's more deeper than that, the spider represents anxiety and depression. They are trapped and can't get away from it. Now this is where it turns more toxic. Felix is controlling the spider, which means he has control of his feelings. I.n also said that "feeling threatened has disappeared now" being consumed by darkness and their negative thoughts, that somehow they're used to it. Han pointing the gun on his head, Chan letting I.n hold the arrow pointed right through his heart and Chan and changbin also doing the sword box illusion. They are numb, as if it's like "If I die, so what?" Basically: if they're trapped, oh well, what's the point of escaping when they purposely wanted to be trapped in the first place just like changbin said at the beginning. Felix eats the spider and it goes to his heart. The "venom" (anxiety/depression) spreads which means NO ONE can help them but themselves. And at the end, they chose not helping themselves at all, getting stuck by their mind and having no thoughts of escaping. Which then felix closes the door.

Felix's King cannot move because it will be taken out either by the Bishop, the castle or the pawn. So essentially felix's King is 'trapped'. This also happens just as the lyrics go "trapped in your overpowering charisma, i am your prey". Theyre so fricking smart!!

SKZ seems to have a theme in their storyline that there is a version of themselves that "buys into" the system, that takes the easy road, that does what society expects of them. That goes all the way back to District 9. The dinning scene gives me "drinking the Cool-Aid" vibes... willfully ingesting what society is feeding them and not even wanting out of the trap. It's pretty relatable. We all get caught up in the rat race and "keeping up with the Jones's". It's a trap of sorts, but we all have our reasons for not exiting.

I feel like he is the one who supplied the spider filled food (he is taking care of the pests? lol) and the others are suspicious, if you look they are all inspecting the food and drink but they drink and eat anyways and then Lee know is lit up in the center alone with the others "dead"..... Lee know is the key here. ♡
The way I understand it, the song and MV talk about a toxic relationship or a toxic mindset. The mirror and red strings are callbacks to Red Lights because that song is about toxicity and obsession, too. The members all try to kill each other perhaps to dramatize the danger of being in said relationship. Changbin escapes the bomb vault but doesn't help the others, Felix controls the spider that chases the others, Hyunjin tries to shoot Han, Seungmin tries to blow up Han, Lee Know poisons everyone at the dinner table, IN has an arrow against Chan's heart, Chan stabs Changbin through the box, Lee Know and Hyunjin are in a spiky boxing match. It's a dangerous yet addictive situation. Kinda like most toxic relationships. At least, that's what I'm getting.

I love the knowledge I get from your channel lol, I had no idea about farmers using spiders. If you notice Lee know is the center of the table in the "last supper" scene. I feel like he is the one who supplied the spider filled food (he is taking care of the pests? lol) and the others are suspicious, if you look they are all inspecting the food and drink but they drink and eat anyways and then Lee know is lit up in the center alone with the others "dead"..... Lee know is the key here. ♡

The way I understand it, the song and MV talk about a toxic relationship or a toxic mindset. The mirror and red strings are callbacks to Red Lights because that song is about toxicity and obsession, too.
The members all try to kill each other perhaps to dramatize the danger of being in said relationship. Changbin escapes the bomb vault but doesn't help the others, Felix controls the spider that chases the others, Hyunjin tries to shoot Han, Seungmin tries to blow up Han, Lee Know poisons everyone at the dinner table, IN has an arrow against Chan's heart, Chan stabs Changbin through the box, Lee Know and Hyunjin are in a spiky boxing match.
It's a dangerous yet addictive situation. Kinda like most toxic relationships. At least, that's what I'm getting.
