    Hi david , ive always preferred a good day scope and either an add on or a seperate night scope , not that i do any night shooting now , good comprehensive report though my friend 👍

      Thanks again Davy, that scope is on its way back to Scott Country at lunchtime , hopefully it’ll be a quick turn round, so the Titan is back on for this Sunday’s squirrel clear up.

    Hiya bud thanks you for mentioning me and I appreciate you putting the time and effort into making the video when you were using the wraith at night how were you doing the range finding iv noticed certain pard models have a range finder on the unit and was wondering if you knew if the wraith was going to have an option for a range finder aswell

    • @predatorprotectionuk
      @predatorprotectionuk  3 года назад

      Hi Alex , I use a pulsar xq38 thermal spotter with a built in range finder

    • @predatorprotectionuk
      @predatorprotectionuk  3 года назад

      Alex, you will find it’s a new world now with air rifles. I’m my day, it was a second hand BSA meteor that had about 9 ft/lbs if you were lucky.
      I tried, weirauch, bsa, daystate, air arms, before finding my favourite FX Wildcat.
      Mine is like a 5mm drill, it’s that accurate . Good luck matey, and stay in touch 👍

      Alex , as far as I know, I’ve not heard of a range finder option on the wraith

    Hi there, really enjoyed this video, regarding the PBir for the Digex scope which model do you use, as some say they have issues with whiting out problem.
    Would you recommend the Digex N450 … as I have been looking at all the choices of NV..but do like the 30mm simple mounting
    Cheers John.

      Hello John, thank you very much for writing in and for watching.
      I don’t think you can go wrong buying the Digex450, I’ve used my PBIR on it, but to be honest the light that comes with the scope is great for what I need it to do. The scope has the PiP feature which is perfect for close up shooting, and still be able to keep an eye on the surrounding area too.👍

    • @predatorprotectionuk
      @predatorprotectionuk  2 года назад

      Sorry John, the model of the PBIR is the laser ( I think )
      Paul only produced two versions when I bought this one, standard and longer range, this one is the longer range, good out to 300 yrds.

    • @johnmclean8543
      @johnmclean8543 2 года назад

      Simple clever little trick..😉

    Appreciate the vid and discussion. I'm considering the Wraith 4K and was a little let down at the mention of no quick release mount. *But then* I thought to explore this and discovered there's now a quick release base available for roughly 50 USD. (Manufacturer # SM13025.001)

      Hi Jimmy,
      Thank you very much for writing in with the info👍
      I don’t have my wraith any more, as the replacement unit I received also failed , as it developed exactly the same faults . Sightmark are currently trying to make a fix available in a software download for these problems, so until they do, I’ll not buy another.
      Great shame as the scope during daytime is spectacular 👍

      @@predatorprotectionuk Sorry to hear about the issues. The appeal was of course the price, but the more I've learned about night vision, the more I've begun to swing toward a mid to upper range thermal unit despite that choking sensation when looking at cost.

    • @predatorprotectionuk
      @predatorprotectionuk  2 года назад +1

      Jimmy,
      I think if you go for a thermal you won’t look back.
      I’ve only ever looked through my pulsar thermion xp38, when I got that the two top units were the xp38 and xp50.
      Others have now superseded those , but don’t go for the cheaper one, as you’ll regret it, highest pixel count on the viewfinder , after all if you can’t see em, you won’t hit em👍

    What problems were you getting with the Sightmark Wraith 4K?

    • @predatorprotectionuk
      @predatorprotectionuk  2 года назад +1

      Duncan,
      I was turning it on when I’d spotted something to shoot, then put it into record for the shot then turning it off.
      This the scopes I had, (2 in total ) didn’t like. They locked up and then had to be reset.
      I now turn on the scope , do a zero check, then just leave the scope on all the time, using record when required. Since doing this , I’ve had no further trouble with the scope I have now👍

      @@predatorprotectionuk thanks for reply. I find the day sight very good and the night OK - but a bit clumsy when you put on ir lamp. It imbalances it somewhat.
      I have lost count of the number of times the rubber eyepiece has fallen off. I have come up with a solution but should not have to. I see their price has dropped and wondered if they are having trouble moving them on!!
      The biggest disappointment has been lack of hard copy operating instructions.
