I watched 2 breaks including yours and the other breaker hit a Bedard green ticket access auto /25 so it's nice to see autos of the top rookies being pulled.
Definitely getting some "Saved by the Bell" 90s vibe from this year's Credentials. Of course you happen to hit one of the rookies I'm chasing. Honestly I tbink Laine couldn't have been traded to a better place. I hope he can get his life and play on track and we see him reach that potential that he has. #Dryden
"Saved by the Bell." Well put. Laine just has to stay healthy at this point. Normally there would be a ton of pressure in MTL. But seeing as we are a draft lottery team and literally got him for free just to eat two years of cap space, this is Monahan redux. If he puts up anything more than 20G we'll be happy, even though his ceiling may be over 40G, or 1P/GP. It's just crazy we can grab a #2 overall pick as a resuscitation project, where we still have two trade deadlines to flip him for potentially a late first round pick. I saw his Zoom presser with the QC media, and he seemed like a wounded bird, fresh out of the Program. I was just happy for him on a human level. Plus, MTL is such a beautiful city, and very easygoing.
How do I get involved in this release day box break process? Who do I contact to get in the flow? Good to see a non-Toronto Maple Leafs player on the box. Can't decide whether I love or hate these cards....I think I might love them.
I'm not a group breaker, or a certified retailer. You would have to ask those who are the exact nature of their relationship with their distributor. Usually past is precedent, whereby based on the previous year's purchase and the anticipated demand, retailers are afforded an allowance of cases for each release. In generational talent years, often smaller retailers and LCS have a tighter allowance due to heightened demand. The cases are typically timed to arrive by shipping company the morning of the release, like any other new good on its release day (breaches probably incur sanctions by distributors). I am not sponsored by UD, nor do I have a formal relationship with the main distributors. Like everyone else, I purchase my boxes through known retailers or LCS, whether I am in Canada or the US. Usually - but not always - I am successful in securing boxes on release day. In 2020, I posted a "Top 10" vid on where to buy boxes (mindful it may be a bit outdated).
Awesome break and an awesome auto. Credentials looks nice this year, don't really like the non-numbered yellow parallels but other than that (besides the price but we've talked about that enough) it's looking good. Credentials is the same as it's been the last few years, it's been sneaky, there's sneaky good potential in here. #Dryden
Habs rebuild going good better than Sabres n sens if ya ask me .. decent top 6 see how it goes ... I might even pick up slaf in my pool as a sleeper just hard cause the habs still kinda suck so he'll be a minus player doesnt help in fantasy lol
The Kaprizov rookie update auto leaves me speechless and a little confused about the hobby in general. I liked when there was only one year for rookie cards. #Dryden
Well, updates have existed a long time, including in SPA, SPx, Ice, OPC, OPCP, etc. They backfill checklists, sometimes because players get their start in the NHL after the releases, or players only existing on one sub-checklist and not another. I see them as nerdy peculiarities. Historically, not doing that leaves holes in the hobby. A good example is Jonathan Quick. He hardly has any true RCs. Where it sucks is hitting a bad update RC in a new product, especially if you prefer the current design or are only chasing a new product or design. 2022-23 SPA actually had a 2009-10 Matt Duchene SOTT update, which shocked even me.
Great video as always and beautiful cards! The best thing though is the 1972 year in hockey ITG box! Good old times!
Nice hit. Rookie checklist is very wide, but Credential look a bit better than last year.
Awesome cards love the Matthew portrais

Great pull with the Poitras! Agree that the product looks better this year compared to the last couple releases. #Dryden
Loving most of the new Pro Visions. Except the Luke Hughes. I don't get the Uncle Sam hat and fireworks #dryden
Congrats on the auto!! I think I like the look of the base more than the inserts #dryden
Wow, UD certainly made some bold choices! #Dryden
