The facts don't support this. Neoliberalism and financialization is the cause of ethnic atomization. The amoral economic argument would support immigration as a necessaty for economic growth and welfare in France. I think France needs to seriously rebuild their welfare state and fight income inequality and promote way better integration policies that does not actively seperate ethnic groups from each other spacially, socially and economically.

I'm a woman of mixed culture and I don't give a d*mn where anyone's from. I care about how other people treat me, not their origin. I also embrace difference--culture, language, worldview. So long as different perspectives don't seriously harm others. But I don't see why Europeans can't strive to maintain their sense of their identity. At my school, we had DOZENS of different culture clubs. But we had no European culture clubs. We used to have a Scandinavian club, a French club... but years ago, student protests coerced the U administration to get rid of European clubs specifically. Imagine being told you have no right to congregate with other people who share your language and ancestral history simply because you're European. I don't condone racism. But when I, an American, travel to another country for work... I do my best to adapt to my hosts' norms. I'm a guest. So I understand people whose families lived somewhere for centuries feeling uncomfortable about being expected to accommodate others' ideologies. Respect and hospitality have to be a two-way street.

No it is generally a good thing, however you have to admit that a lot of people are taking it too far on both sides. When you start infringing on people's freedom to buy or produce halal food for example, that is bigoted because you are suddenly discriminating every Muslim, even though many if not most behave like regular people. I myself have been born into a Muslim family in a western country and all I can say is I love the western world and I call it my home. However, if the west collectively started discriminating against me for religious reasons, I would go somewhere else and then they would loose a loyal citizen for no good reason.

However, before the 1970s Canada was primarly made up of European immigrants (and as you know the European culture is very similar and practically related, so the "diversity" was seen very differently at the time) with the odd Japanese living in BC who came from Japan. Diversity is great and beautiful, however there are consequences when you mix many very different cultures and it then effects things like the nations society, traditions, patriotism, and respect for history. Japan is a great example for having such a strong and stable society and economy while having almost 0 immigration. It doesn't help that a lot of political left groups look down on talking about migration, even reasonably, as being a completely racist action stemming from the darkest hours of the mustached German. As a person who lived for several years in northern Africa, i can see that a lot of these migrants are in essence extremely conservative far right religious traditionalists (in their country) that have nothing to envy to the far right white Christians. Some are viewed as vulnerable minorities to be protected, just because they are getting bullied by the local far right... but that's because they are rivals ideologies, not different in essence. This left is now protecting the evil it used to fight just a few decades ago for centuries in the name of freedom, just because it is wearing different clothes (and skin color). Hence why so many locals feel like they have no alternative but the far right, and get trapped in the brainless racism offered by the rich supporters of those groups, to act as a decoy for real economical issues.

The facts don't support this. Neoliberalism and financialization is the cause of ethnic atomization. The amoral economic argument would support immigration as a necessaty for economic growth and welfare in France. I think France needs to seriously rebuild their welfare state and fight income inequality and promote way better integration policies that does not actively seperate ethnic groups from each other spacially, socially and economically.

I'm a woman of mixed culture and I don't give a d*mn where anyone's from. I care about how other people treat me, not their origin. I also embrace difference--culture, language, worldview. So long as different perspectives don't seriously harm others. But I don't see why Europeans can't strive to maintain their sense of their identity. At my school, we had DOZENS of different culture clubs. But we had no European culture clubs. We used to have a Scandinavian club, a French club... but years ago, student protests coerced the U administration to get rid of European clubs specifically. Imagine being told you have no right to congregate with other people who share your language and ancestral history simply because you're European.
I don't condone racism. But when I, an American, travel to another country for work... I do my best to adapt to my hosts' norms. I'm a guest. So I understand people whose families lived somewhere for centuries feeling uncomfortable about being expected to accommodate others' ideologies. Respect and hospitality have to be a two-way street.

Then when the Sacred Months (the Ist, 7th, 11th, and 12th months of the Islamic calendar) have passed, then kill the Mushrikun (see V.2:105) wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and prepare for them each and every ambush. But if they repent and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat, then leave their way free. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
6. And if anyone of the Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) seeks your protection then grant him protection, so that he may hear the Word of Allah (the Qur'an), and then escort him to where he can be secure, that is because they are men who know not.

However, before the 1970s Canada was primarly made up of European immigrants (and as you know the European culture is very similar and practically related, so the "diversity" was seen very differently at the time) with the odd Japanese living in BC who came from Japan. Diversity is great and beautiful, however there are consequences when you mix many very different cultures and it then effects things like the nations society, traditions, patriotism, and respect for history. People simply don't want to see their country that has been the same for so many years turn into another country (and we are starting to see that in many places like Canada, the USA, England, France, Australia, Taiwan and others). Japan is a great example for having such a strong and stable society and economy while having almost 0 immigration. Point being, decrease immigration rates (and I've made my point for why), and those who come overseas ought to respect and charish their new country.

It doesn't help that a lot of political left groups look down on talking about migration, even reasonably, as being a completely racist action stemming from the darkest hours of the mustached German. As a person who lived for several years in northern Africa, i can see that a lot of these migrants are in essence extremely conservative far right religious traditionalists (in their country) that have nothing to envy to the far right white Christians.
Some are viewed as vulnerable minorities to be protected, just because they are getting bullied by the local far right... but that's because they are rivals ideologies, not different in essence. This left is now protecting the evil it used to fight just a few decades ago for centuries in the name of freedom, just because it is wearing different clothes (and skin color). Hence why so many locals feel like they have no alternative but the far right, and get trapped in the brainless racism offered by the rich supporters of those groups, to act as a decoy for real economical issues.

Economical issue can be solved way easier than ethnic tension, so that’s not really a good point. + Rich people don’t really want you to concentrate on immigration, as they mostly praise it actually (cheaper workers-> more money). That,s why most médias praise immigration and discredits anti-immigration movements as far right or just racist just like in this video. The core problem in our society is security, and immigration is one of it’s main cause. So no, the real problem isn’t economical as you try to say it. We already starved in poverty before. We never faced such a demographic replacement from Christian culture people to Muslim cultured people in Europe so fast though, that’s why I still think the main issue of this century is and will be cultural/ethnic for Europe.
