    Was looking at the Ktm 1290, but was unsure because I'm 6"4 and my knees have a little arthritis, and didn't want them to be bent for to long, found your video on these highway pegs, and that should be enough to ease them.
    Cool.

    Great reference. I ordered cheep pegs from Revzilla that I could not make work on my SW-Motech crash bars. Revzilla took care of that and what you installed is on order ... in all black.

    Just put these on. I looked at a ton of different types, but I think you made the right choice for this bike. I liked the quality of the pegs. But the price was just a bit more then I think they should be, but hey, everything on a motorcycle is expensive. Thanks for the review. (Tell revzilla you need a kickback)

      Craig, I agree. Highway pegs are WAY more expensive than they should be.

    Great informative vid Mario, altho I'd like to try the pegs, we don't cover nowhere near the same milage as you do, for trips I just lower the standard pegs by turning the offset bracket upside down, but for the milage your gonna cover I hope they work out for you pal, keep up the good work 👍

      Nearly 3,000 miles in the last 5 days and I couldn't be happier with them.

    Use something line this on my 1190. Riding 1000km in one day to Switserland is no problem

      Yep! Highway pegs make a world of difference when you're covering distance.

    Nice thorough video. And not for nuthin', but I like the silver/black combo. Looks good!

    • @2WR
      @2WR  7 лет назад +1

      Thanks. I think they turned out looking pretty good too. I was concerned the silver/chrome would look to "cruiser-ish" but really don't mind the look of the brackets.

    I have bought these but I live in England, not only did I pay for postage at $45 I also got stung for import vat at £45 off UPS so U.K buyers beware that’s almost $108 postage. I hope they will be worth it...

    • @2WR
      @2WR  6 лет назад

      That's a helluva lot for postage! I hope you find them worth it. I can tell you my trip to California and to Alaska wouldn't have been near as enjoyable without them.

      2 Wheeled Rider I hope they are worth it as well. Great video’s that you do I have enjoyed every one I have watched so far...keep them coming.

    Do you have ktm's comfort seat? I have the stock, a full seat concepts seat, and the comfort power part seat.
    Get the comfort seat if you don't already have it. So nice.
    I think I'll be adding hwy pegs to my SA too some day soon.
    Thanks for the install vid

    • @2WR
      @2WR  5 лет назад

      Nope. Just have a sheepskin over my stock. No complaints in over 30,000 miles.

    Mario, How much extra weight can I carry on my ktm 1290 super adventure with 10kg in each pannier and with a pillion?

    • @2WR
      @2WR  5 лет назад

      Obviously depends on your weight and weight of your pillion. The max weight, including the weight of the bike is 460 kg (1,014 lb). Assuming weight with fuel is about 254 kg, you can safely add 206kg to the bike.

  • @67daltonknox
    @67daltonknox 3 года назад

    This will shift the riders weight from the pelvis to the coccyx which on a long trip will cause butt pain.

    • @2WR
      @2WR  3 года назад

      It's not meant to stay in that position all day; only to switch is up.

    I'm sorry but the highway pegs on this ktm actually look too high up as for placing you're leg over them they would dig into the back of you're knee and in a matter of minutes you would go back to putting you're feet back on the foot pegs definitely a flaw here

    • @2WR
      @2WR  5 лет назад +1

      Unless you’re super tall, I have no idea how the peg would dig into the back of your knee. I’ve been using them for 25k+ miles, including a 19 day 505 mile per day trip to Alaska and back and wouldn’t want to go on a long ride without them.

    Mario, did you ever do a full review on these highway pegs? Looking forward to hearing about how well they held up on your coast-to-coast trip.

    • @2WR
      @2WR  6 лет назад

      Mark, not a full review but I did speak about them in the debrief video I did about how the KTM functioned on the cross country trip ruclips.net/video/EmglCbWk4hs/видео.html

    Does anyone know where I can find highway pegs for a 2017 KTM 1090 Adventure R? Would greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks much.

      They’re linked in the description.

      2 Wheeled Rider thanks. The crash bars are a little different in design and didn’t know if what you were using would fit the 1090’s bars like they fit your 1290’s. I’d prefer them on the vertical space like you but didn’t know if it was even an option (and the title only mentions for 1290/1190). If you find out otherwise I’d love to know. Keep up the great work, buddy.
