Thank you so much for posting this. I was there! I don't remember the date but it was during Pierre's first US Tour. Michael set up the gig. I think each gave a full concert that night, and they came out together as encore and played The Watermelon Man. After almost 30 years, I still be chills.

I was at this concert. It was not Pierre's first Tour-he had already been here many times. The best I can guess is this was 1985. I opened for Pierre in 1984 in Santa Cruz with Bill Coulter at Kuumbwa Jazz Club.
