I found a level 4 Taza's stone axe, in a loot box in the desert biome. This was after the 1.0 release. When I completed the level 3 Trader quests I had the option of choosing the Sham recipe.
I have thousands of hours into this game and have found that Taza's axe in random old wooded chest that plays indian drums when opened, I have never found that burial site however. I also have not found one since 1.0
That wooden chest you speak of, I used to see it in those wilderness cave sites. Since it's sort of a rubbish item, I don't seek it out so not sure if it still exists.
Also, not mentioned in the video, mods for the Dew Collector have a 1% chance to show up inside of broken Dew Collectors, which makes them the absolute rarest lootable items in the game.
There's also a chance of finding a crucible inside a broken forge, guessing that's a similar low percentage (source - me, i've found 1 in a broken forge lol).
I've found Urban Combat Vol 5 on my first day of a new start (with an easy difficulty). My start was next to the desert and there was a cabin right next to me with a bookshelf... and tada... There it was
I started playing this game recently with some friends and that book was also really early for me. But after a few weeks we reset for a bigger map and now it is one of only 5 books I haven't found yet from the sets of 7. Crazy how rng will do that. For 3 weeks we couldn't find a single vehicle super charger schematic between 5 ppl on the server and then the day after the first one was located I found 3 more. But for now the book that refuses to drop for me is the vehicle fuel saver mod schematic. :( At least I got the quad pocket schematic finally. Pretty sure if I upgrade 1 of my triples to a qaud I can free up a mod spot on my armor from a spare triple I needed to reach max carry capacity.

I could either do a one off, 'I survived for X days' video, a few streams, or a series where 1 day is 1 episode. But I haven't quite figured out which one works best. I'm always open to ideas though :)
@ honestly, I see “X days” videos do decently, at least they can be considered decent for small channels that do them. Or maybe the 1 day 1 episode, but if you do that, I’d recommend increasing the day length for more content in an episode, up to you though

The Secret Sham Recipe is a rare reward from t1 and t2 quests. I think getting extra loot stages might hurt your chances of getting it? Or it could be just on Rekt's quest list. Maybe. I've searched the factory, and I can't find it anymore. Use to be in the safe of that one slightly hidden office but if it is, it isn't guarenteed anymore. I've never found it as a drop in random loot. I have found the Supercorn recipe in random trash, which is kind of useless. Making Sham is kind of a waste of resources until you reach end-game. Using 5 fat to make an ingredient is a huge waste of resources. The bottleneck in cooking isn't meat, it is fat. Once you can afford to waste dukes on anything you fancy buying fat from Traders will give you the luxury of producing Sham. Sham Chowder is the only food item that gives a combat buff. I don't consider candy to be food, especially since its only from vending machines.
- I recently found the Candy Cane Club, I didn't even know it was a thing. 😋 - if you harvest gems from coffins, they don't count towards the quest. 🙄 I found that Wastelands Treasures book before the Mining one, but while I harvested several gems, I didn't get credit for any until I got the mining book.
Absolutely right Game. Ive been searching for the stealth book that grants bonus bow damage at night i think for like 2 months. Ugh u woulda thought i would have accidentally found it by now. Guess im not the only one lol.
Vitamins are strange, some play throughs I’m finding them nearly every poi I go to, other times I can’t find them for love nor money Also ironically the Landmine book I’m often finding within the first couple of weeks

I've seen a few comments on Reddit from others who have a hard time getting the silencers. For me personally, I tend to get it quite early. Maybe I'm just lucky :)

I just got the club (lv 2) two days ago but have not found a knife. This is just for current playthrough I have had both and the old santa hat they used to have. I miss making my own outfit.
Legit played for 1000+ hours and ive never thought of vitamins being a crafting item for recog or fort bites as i usually just buy those or loot them. I only play on RWG so never gotten the Taz monument to spawn but i do remember looting one ages ago. Only thing ive never gotten was the candy cane club.

@@madcapryan90 If it is still working like it use to several versions ago? The candy cane items remain and work just fine. They only drop during the event, and the event lasts until the funpimps send an update to turn it off.
That's a good question. I wish I knew! I've been playing this game on and off for years. On my current playthrough, I've survived for 46 hours. But previously, I've survived for around 72ish hours. The settings I use are 1 hour is 1 ingame day. What about you?

My one mod/schematic I always find crazy late in the game is the silencer mod. Very annoying, because I'm a stealth player 😆
It's always the mod that you really want that you just can't find. It's like the Fun Pimps know what you want! :)

UC 5 seems to drop enough for my mates when we play but I get it wayyyyyyyy later or not at all. Even the traders taunt with UC 4 and 6.

The Candy Cane Knife/Club not only are only for the Festive Period, they can only be used during that time unless using console commands.

a good solution is just to go into the config files and change the speeds of the vehicles. It's very easy to do and makes them much better.
