Another Great Video ! They sell a full cap which is the best cap choice. Second of all the gauge hump stick out on the original are not the same exact shape as the original dash. It's far better fit to cut the original gauge humps off. When fitting to a 280 dash. And it's always better to throw away the silicone provided and after sanding Use real Windscreen urethane windshield adhesive from a real Windscreen installation shop. It's more industrial strength It holds like NOTHING else. Also Hung Vu on face book sells the best dash replacement dashes for under $1000. Dollars if you want a real dash and not a Cover. My guide is 240z values it's worth spending the $800. If you have a 280Z , get a cover it's worth it. If you have a 240Z and want something quick, do not trim dash at all and use a full face dash cover. Or half cover as temporary till you get a new Hung Vu dash.
MindDezign thanks! I am looking for a distributor that sells a 240Z full face cover. At the moment I was only able to track down full face covers for the 260Z and 280Z. I do think that the half covers do a great job and cover just the often damaged area, while leaving the rest of the original dash alone.
Hi Alexis. Search 'Vintage Dashes' on Instagram (@vintagedashes) they do excellent work and I think they have whole dashes now. I would ask them -- unfortunately I only have dash caps at the moment.
Thank you for this video!!! You guys helped me out big time!! Thank you so much!!!
