Planting a Turmeric Patch for the next season of health and wellness

Turmeric (Olena), a tropical plant that belongs to the ginger family. We have expanded our Turmeric planting area and begun replanting since it grows so well. Turmeric needs a lot of sunlight so choose a spot in your garden where it can receive 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Make sure you mulch heavy and keep the soil moist. Turmeric is usually ready to harvest 8-10 months after planting when the leaves and stems start to turn yellow and dry up. Turmeric is a spice used in cooking and provides great health benefits.
