I wonder if changing english towers would give them a better early game. Right now they feel so bad with the slow eco, slow units.. What if their towers had half hp-cost-build time? Feels like it would be easier to towercreep towards the opponent but not oppressive since with a few melee units they could take them down.

Yeh china used to be my fav civ. Now you can't play it the same way I enjoyed playing it. Also the counter to mangos and nobs are the same units they are supposed to counter. Ranged units, which is just insanely retarded. I just started playing Aoe4 a year ago and I thought the devs are doing a really good job especially considering their budget, but I have been extremely dissapointed by this. Its like league of legends level balance garbage.

sure china is sustaining gold units from passive income, but your main lategame unit doesnt cost gold in the first place
