SAME! I am writing a novel but my natural style of writing in a way that there is no one protagonist. Thanks for this ❤

There are also books, like Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars books, which have multiple protagonists in the sense that the book is divided into sections, with each section concentrating on a different character.

Ray Bradbury's short story 'There will come soft rains' does not have a protagonist, there are no people, but it still is impactful and tells a great story.

I always write multi character and crowd scenes. What I do is only have a few characters talking at the same time. Also, one or two words from the crowd gives the general idea of how everyone feels. Great tips in this video. Thank you. 😊

What's a good example of a scene with several characters engaged in dialogue? I can only think of novels that are very philosophical in nature, not really commercial fiction

Many such scenes in all three books of The Lord of the Rings. Lots of characters in battle scenes, gatherings, celebrations, with plenty of action and dialogue happening all at once
