Billow Wood - All The Ways You Wander

Billow Wood have arranged one of Ireland’s most beloved Folk Songs ‘All the Ways You Wander’ written by John Spillane.
The music video, recorded by Ciaran O’Donnell from Nothing Too Fancy Productions, set in the gorgeous Gortnor Abbey Church in Crossmolina, Co.Mayo, is a stunning back drop for the song. Billow Wood are supported by the Gortnor Abbey Secondary School Choir and musicians under the direction of Mrs. Fiona Watts.
The video is a true reflection of the times we live in. The socially distanced performance reminds us of the current pandemic that surrounds us and the poignant lyrics ‘searching for the island of your heart’s desire’ recalls all of our loved ones who can not come home this year for Christmas.
Based in the West of Ireland, Billow Wood produce original music that can be considered Folk, with elements of trad and pop. Their fresh sound integrates Irish instrumentation, modern sounds with full male and female harmonies. Billow Wood released their debut Album ‘Walls of Caves’ earlier this year that is available to stream and purchase on all music platforms.
