"After entering a guilty plea in June, InfoWars host and Alex Jones associate Owen Shroyer received a sentence of two months in jail for the misdemeanor charge of entering or remaining on restricted grounds. Part of the plea deal was cooperation with investigators, including social media postings he made on or around the January 6th insurrection.
Prosecutors argued that as the host of his InfoWars show The War Room with Owen Shroyer, Shroyer “helped create” the atmosphere that resulted in the January 6 insurrection by spreading conspiracy theories and rhetoric denying the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election results and saying that Democrats stole the election from former President Donald Trump. And when he wasn’t spreading these lies on his show, he stood in front of the mob at the Capitol on January 6, 2021 and fired them up in person."

Meanwhile, republicans are saying, "Owen was arrested for freedom of speech!" Whether they know it or not, Owen was on parole for that stunt he pulled in 2019 and he AGREED to a deal that he would commit to forty hours of community service which he didn't even complete. He had a mere two hours left on it. The guy couldn't even commit to the same full-time hours a lot of Americans already do for their own jobs. Wanna know what he did instead? Go to the Capitol in January 2021 which was a violation of his parole.
Owen dug his own grave much like his idol Trump. All he had to do was not go onto the Capitol grounds and complete his community service, but the money to be gained was too tempting. Even then two months isn't that long and republicans are making it seem like he's going away for two years. He'll be out by Christmas and milk everything he can to sucker his audience for money.

I think Trump had planned to be at the Capitol. He just didn't tell anyone in the WH of his plans -- so say several people who testified to the J6 Committee. . Jones was likely informed of the actual plan.
