I love the 65 game rule absolutely and its not about embiid at all it's about the fact that availability is such an important ability. Your team is gaining nothing from you not playing and a guy scoring 30p and 10a instead of a guy doing nothing and sitting as a viewer is way higher impact. It's crazy it took so long to get such a rule implemented. You can miss 17 GAMES thats more than enough if you can't play thans not of any value.
Some people don’t have eyes to see true impact on a game. Yes players like KD and Embiid are great and have impresssive looking games (difficult step backs jumpers etc) but Jokic is a genius at reading defenses and gets his team the best shot EVERY time down court. That’s pretty valuable.

Knee joints are complex, Embiid has had multiple knee injuries in his career. Sometimes there’s just no amount of PT and therapy to heal someone’s knees completely. You can’t just assume that someone who suits up is always 100%! he may have knee pain and instability for the rest of his life in just everyday life let alone playing basketball at a pro level. Staying healthy for a full season may just not be realistic anymore for him. I think he should forget the MVP race altogether it’s one more thing to distract him mentally from his recovery and goal of winning an NBA championship. Don’t rush back Embiid, your team can get yall in the playoffs and they need you as healthy as possible which means not returning when there’s a high risk of reinjury!

Knee joints are complex, Embiid has had multiple knee injuries in his career. Sometimes there’s just no amount of PT and therapy to heal someone’s knees completely. You can’t just assume that someone who suits up is always 100%! he may have knee pain and instability for the rest of his life in just everyday life let alone playing basketball at a pro level. Staying healthy for a full season may just not be realistic anymore for him. I think he should forget the MVP race altogether it’s one more thing to distract him mentally from his recovery and goal of winning an NBA championship. Don’t rush back Embiid, your team can get yall in the playoffs and they need you as healthy as possible which means not returning when there’s a high risk of reinjury!
