I'm also trying to enter a deeper conversion by attending Mass regularly, prayers, Confession and Adoration but I still don't have a intimate relationship with Jesus. I pray that St Anna Marie will intercede for me. Thank you Ken.

How much I desire to grow in a deeper conversion for the love of God. I am confined essentially to my bed now. Because of this it is very difficult to go to Mass regularly and to receive the Sacraments. I miss this so very much. Please pray for me.

Nice to know I am not alone with finding the right confessor.
I had a bad experience at confession at 10 years old! I told the priest that while visiting my grandparents in the Bronx.NY that they said we were not going to church that Sunday as they were going to visit friends which required walking to the train station, riding to the Grand Concourse, then get on another train. I even told them that we needed to go to Mass. My grandmother said " God is everywhere, we pray in kitchen." The priest, back home in MD, said " you should have gone anyway!" Laid alot of guilt on me. He essentially said I should disobey my grandparents, leave the apt. and try to find the church which was not around the corner? Would they have even let me go? I do not remember any other childhood confessions but I have never forgotten this one. As an adult, I now realize it was not my sin to confess. I was 10 years old!! No I have not left the church.
May God give you peace and settle the waves that experience caused so many years ago. 🙏 Thank you for sharing.
That would have been a danger to you to leave your Grandparents and look for a Church by yourself. I am sure you have forgiven the priest, I find that I need to forgive him also...

I did have a bad experience once, during confession. I was still very young then. The priest yelled at me, so loud, that the people waiting outside were able to hear him. Reason: I was saying my confession in my native languag. He was a foreigner. I remember crying as I went out of the confessional box with all the people staring at me.
By the grace of God this incident did not stop me from going to confession but, boy, after that experience, I trembled with fear each time I went to confession.

Please do more on the lives of the Saints and Venerables as well as recommendations of books to read. So many books about the saints are more like Clift Notes…. I want to learn and emulate these beautiful examples that God gave us! In order to do this we need books that go more in depth about there lives. I pray that you and your beautiful family are rewarded in Heaven for your sacrifice, example and guidance that you lovingly give to us all!

Happy to hear about Anna Maria Taigi from you. She was a third order memeber of the trinitarian order . Trinitarians have a monastery in our place in Thrissur district Kerala India. I heard about her from them. I have a relic of her. I have given it to my sister in law during her pregnancy and I used to hold it on my wifes womb during her 3rd pregnancy . It was wonderful to know that she is the patron of the families. From these three videos I learnt that I can pray to her for a good confession and finding out a good confessor, and to raise a good Catholic big family like her. It was funny when you told that you had lot in common. May Blessed Anna Maria be canonized soon.

I was so excited to see the title of this video because your last video on her really struck a "Holy Spirit nerve" with me and I suspected it would be helpful.
Sure enough, this exact form of vanity has been my main issue lately. As I'm exploring the Dominican third order, promising this particular type of modesty feels so challenging and I've been praying about it a lot, asking for some clear help and teaching. My first vocation is as a wife, so caring for my appearance seems to fall into a duty as well, however I do believe I cross the line into vanity and letting go of this feels HARD.
Anyway, I'm SO GLAD you made this and please keep being moved by the Holy Spirit!

I made a resolution guided by the holy Spirit... confession is a mean to receive forgiveness and graces..but we must be resolute with grace not to sin anymore.I do not want to sin and offense jesus anymore..this resolution has helped me very much.not to sin . intentionally..

Yes, I was molested by a priest in the confessional room when I was a teenager. At 62, I still find it hard to go to confession.

Sorry but as a Catholic from birth I know that dressing up is not a sin.If it was then all those wealthy Catholics,Kings,Queens and nobility who became Saints would have never received their halo.
Anna Maria said did not say dressing was her sin, but vanity behind her actions of dressing up.
