Man you did a great job on those. Super sick! I've never heard of that all metal. Seems pretty solid tho.

Should have put the taillight half way between the top and bottom of the original opening if you weren't going to re-shape it to match the taillight.... Good choice of taillight though and good job on the bodywork!...

If I were a better welder with less to do, maybe I would have put in the middle. I did mock them up vertically as well, but asked a few friends and they all said horizontal was the way to go. Thanks for watching, more car parts meant for other cars coming soon, lol.

@@CrossCountryGarage Actually, the surround protrudes on the top and bottom and to the outside of the opening, which is square.....Vertical orientation of the mustang light and pushed outward would have allowed the fill piece to be across the flattest part of the opening (nearest the door).....Custom taillights on a van are one of the toughest mods to get looking like they belong.....

      SPOILER ALERT
im finding right now my acrylic doghouse to be my toughest mod. Just broke 1st piece (was almost where i had to be), 2 more pieces will be here next week but if I get it right (never seen anyone attempt to do it the way I am) the clear distributor cap I got will look badass spinning at night. Then maybe clear valve covers...

@@CrossCountryGarage .......Engine heat won't be a problem?....I know of a couple of vans with plexi sides in the doghouse , here is a link to one ruclips.net/video/hrNdH_wqkXI/видео.html......Kevin thought I should make my entire box lid for my 69 van out of plexi, but I'd prefer well insulated..... Your customizing tastes are way different than mine (as are Kevin's) but that is what makes it interesting to watch your build (and I donated the wheels).....

@@donsaunders6069 sweet, i did not know that, THANK YOU. I am not particularly worried about heat because quite honestly, I dont drive my vehicles much. The 4 cars in my lower garage have a combined total of maybe 10 miles in the past 2 years. I just like the build and learning along the way. Besides, i can just grab a new doghouse for like $75 if its a total failure, but if it works, its should be pretty cool. Kevins van was by far the funnest project I ever worked on, thats why I wanted 1. I am not a vanner by any stretch. Just like taking junk and making it cooler and with a van, there are no rules (at least for me)
