To be sure dude only wanted a 2 yr deal you could see from the get go how massive this kid was decision making at this club is shit they have no idea !!!
We wanted to keep him. It's the Mid Season draft rules where if they reject a contract they become free agents. So it was either trade or let him become a delisted free agent and go to whichever team he wanted for free
Personally (and I admit I don't know a lot about this stuff), I think we should be working towards draft picks over trades because we have Tasmania looming and with a deep draft this year (or so I have read) it's probably the right time to bring in the young players and start developing for the future.
@@everythingessendon548 agreed rather we should be trading away and trade baiting iffy players. Honestly should have baited hind for a possible 4th rounder
I’d sniff around these players for trade-ins… - Angus Sheldrick - Cooper Simpson - Brandon Parfitt - Deven Robertson - Thomson Dow In the draft I want Lalor. I know we have plenty of mids but this guy loves the crash and bash and it’s players with attitudes like that that we need. He can play forward and impact there too. If Stringer goes he’d be a perfect replacement. A draft heavy on key backs would be nice but you can’t pick who isn’t there. Kako and Lalor would supercharge our F50.
I know from a source that knows someone in the Essendon drafting department that we are now only drafting from Victoria, due to people leaving to go back home. So hopefully this helps your drafting videos.
Really tough to judge because of how even it is up the top of the draft, but Sam Lalor, Murphy Reid, Jobe Shanahan and Harry Armstrong are players that we could potentially be choosing from.
Shanahan just reminds of another two metre, no mobility and defensive game whatsoever but great offensively. Armstrong is mobile and competes on ground level so he gets the tick from me
Liked Rosas Jr a few years ago, didn’t watch him much this season. Has talent and we need small fwds, but there’s got to be a reason GC are willing to lose him
If we draft another midfielder with our first pick I’ll lose my mind so much talent and we have too much midfield depth as it is it’s gotta be travalgia or shannahan even Armstrong if available we cannot pick another midfielder I’ll lose my mind
jack whitlock goes to my school and wasn't allowed to play in the year 12 gumboot footy match because he was to good and i would like to see himm at pickk 8#
A nice Strong Key Defender Will be good Cause our Backline isnt that good So if we strengthen our defense Then We focus on Recruiting A Keen Key Forward player just giving some advice Iam a utility player But iam a Strong key defender Cause ive seen teams Like Hawthorne recruit some very strong players and they have strengthen their team In the Back and forward Line in Due Time we could Learn from that experience
With your next video can you do your best Dodoro impression so that in 3 years we can slam you for being hoplessly wrong and not picking that player who was pick 44 and turned out to be a superstar.
Thanks F. Like you my favourite time of the year other than finals which we have failed again. And one of my favourite channels. What about Jack Macrae from Western Bulldogs? He was All Australian and we need quality smaĺ forwards ready to play now!
If we can land Kako and Shanahan, i'd be very content this draft.
We definitely could
We all saw the game Massimo D,Ambrosio played against the Bulldogs, that fuck up will haunt us for a long time

To be fair I doubt he would have been this good at Essendon, he flourished at a better club
@@everythingessendon548Even at half as good as he is at Hawks then he'd still be better than what we had on the wings this year.
Need to select a tall, skinny injury prone player with no set position with our first round pick.😅
No need for that,we have Nic Cox.
and then give up on him at 22
Only one?
Or a small inside midfielder 😂

I agree, it would also explain why the club haven't been active in the trade space this year.

A few handy options, Parfitt will likely be available too

Haven't drafted many players outside of Victoria recently, it certainly helps avoid potential trades.
I’ve seen Jobe Shanahan play in NSW and if we don’t get him we have totally missed the boat
Fantastic talent.
What have we learnt from the handling of D’Ambrosio ??
i suppose the same thing that all the other clubs learned from Durham and Martin
Hopefully to give young players more of a chance to develop in their preferred role
Try and fleece someone with Nik Cox plz
Just signed a new contract, he will be with us next year.
Who do you think we will pick up with our first rounder (being realistic to the draft setup plus taking our needs into account) ?

Tough player to read, hard to know if he will even be a concrete first team option.
They were also willing to lose Izak Rakinine. So read into that as you will.
@@taliamason7986 GC were not happy about losing Rankine

Might have to at some stage, we still lack real A grade midfielders aside from Merrett
Do you think setterfield could be reinvented as a lockdown defender?
Too slow
Probably not quick enough

Don’t know if I’d be able to handle the comments for that video
Marchbank from the blues 193 cm defender unrestricted could pick up for nothing. Leek alear would be a great pick up too
Yes, Marchbank would be very handy. Good call !
Possibly if Laverde leaves for depth
Woohoo I am famous 😎😎😎😎
Not for the first time! Cheers for the question

He could be handy midfield depth if Shiel/Setterfield leave
James Borlase to Essendon
Handy player but recently signed a contract extension with Adelaide.
@@everythingessendon548 Damn I must've missed that then, makes sense why there's been nothing on him then he's an underrated young player
Trade Wright
Doubt we’ll be trading Wright
Dont we need a bigger bodied midfielder? We dont really have one.
Harvey Langford would the perfect big bodied mid for us. Probably won't be available at Essendon's first choice though.
Sam Lalor, Josh Smillie and Harvey Langford are a few likely to go in the top 10
Let Jake stringer go. I think at times he is a lazy player. And only likes the limelight.
