    Keen to see it recover, just did the same at home for the first time, real heavy top dress with sand to sort out level issues. Smashed with trojan and kept the water up to it. 10 days post reno I'm at about 80% recovered

      How many ton was that Adam? I can calculate how much I need for my 300 squares, more interested in now many hours it took the two of you to manually move the sand so I know what I'm getting myself into 😅

    One of you knows how to shovel sand/soil like a pro ! Train him well OB1 . Bit of rock in that sand the operator needs to shake bucket and clean out truck before each load is delivered 😳😳 unless ya got it for free 😜😜😜 . Lookin forward to the next update after top dressing and the lawn pops out to greet the sunshine 🌞

    What sand is best for top dressing? Iv been told play sand is that correct? Or should it be more of a sandy loam..?

      Any washed sand designed for top dressing is perfect. Ask your local landscape supplies yard what the golf courses use in the local area.

    When do you guys film this? I’m in Adelaide and keen as to Reno my front and back lawns, struggling with uneven surface and compaction etc…
    But weather is hot as at the moment, especially this weekend. Not sure if I’ll stress it too much?

      Hey mate, we filmed this over the past 2 weeks here in SA. Hot weather will drive up soil temps which will promote faster recovery, so now is perfect.

    Lel, do the sprinklers not water the dead patch effectively?

    • @thelawnhub
      @thelawnhub  16 дней назад +1

      They do, the trouble is the lawn had died in that area from what I suspect was grub damage in the past. It was beyond the point of being able to recover so what I pulled up were the old dead slabs with no sign of life 💀
