Lot making your own rock is very expensive in California, about one hundred dollars to be exact. The salt was the most expensive item. But I had the most fun making them. Thank’s

I just got my new saltwater aquarium because of you. You inspired me to get into saltwater. Thank you. I was just a freshwater.

I always have something going on every weekend, but my weekends now start consisting of my tank maintenance... so my coworkers were thrown off when I tried explaining to them my studying of corals, buying the right ones, cleaning, acclimating, etc... but I love doing it! Now they all know I’m always at the fish store every Saturday afternoon adding corals lol

Fascinating. Be great to also see some close ups of the Coraline Algae growing, so we know what to look for.
When you first add a piece of live rock to spawn to your homemade rock, do they need to physically touch each other?
Do you need to introduce more live rock pieces from the pet shop when you add newer homemade rocks into your tank at a later date? Or once your rock is live will that good bacteria automatically migrate to any new pieces added to the tank?
Keep up the good work. ✅👍

Thank you 😊😊 good questions! No they don’t need to touch, the bacteria will make its way to the new rock. You don’t need to keep adding pieces of rock from pet shop every time you add in a new piece. As long as you have one, that will be enough 😊👌

I made these years ago with perlite and ordinary cement I now make coral bases with cookie cutters and seal it with purple plasicote spray paint which is same as krylon fusion just to say I worked for a concrete company and its made with primary mains water there is chemicals in ordinary tap water that cures cement in a chemical reaction that isn't in ro water

Nice vid, even though I don’t have a salt water tank! I also like the humour this time - I made rocks! & someone stole my rock! 🤣
