Listening to this masterpiece while it's freezing cold outside... Going through some hard times. My fiancé is undergoing chemotherapy, and here I am, a thousand miles away, sitting at my desk in the late hours of the night, solving math and programming for my Ph.D. dissertation.....Just wanted to pin this comment here, as I dont know when and in what circumstance I will come here again but when I do come here, I want to say "Hi and a thumbs up" to the person I will have become.
While listenin to this master piece I tumbled over this comment. Reading it gave me the chills as I am at my desk too and writing my Ph.D. dissertation, my circumstances are not even comparable but I do have someone waiting for five years to see me...meet me...and I am 11,000 plus miles away... I really pray you feel better soon, and for your wife's well being and your mental peace..

The year 2006, I was in 10th, desperately waiting for this song on B4U channel everytime it was showcased, recorded the audio in the stereo player. Such was the song's aura to me and still is. From that period, I became the Die-Hard Fan of Strings. When I had enough money, I went to the Market & purchased cassettes of Duur, Dhaani, Zinda (only for this song). It's been 16 years!!! Memories!!!!!
Born in 1987. Majorly listened to bollywood and bit indiepop. Radio was main medium to listen songs in childhood. Was never aware about band and all. In 2005 this song was released. Through this song I came to know about bands and all. Now I majority listened to bands like strings, call, agnee, Bayaan, The local train and many. Thankyou Strings for introducing me to band culture. Varna life adhoori reh jaati....Love from India...

An era where a lot of people had John as their idol. His looks, hairstyle & dressing sense. Hitting the gym for 2hrs daily just to get a body like his.
Listened to this song on many nights during my carefree, foolish childhood when dreams and imagination was all that was required to make us happy. Listening to this now is making me feel emotions that can't be described by poets or authors. Such was our childhood that we didn't have much but whatever we came across we opened our hearts to it. Listening to this song when I'm much older, I came to realise how much we miss those days.
Its really strange that this song has very less views and comments compared to other Strings songs. In my opinion this is one of the best songs of strings. Poetry, music, everything, its just perfect. And above all this song also matches the description of the movie. Anyway love this song. Still listening and will keep listening.
Back in 2010, I had sung this song during Teacher's Day celebrations at our college. There was nobody to play the instruments...I was a fresher...this song was, is and will be very special to me. The fact that Strings has disbanded leaves me heartbroken.
From student to successful man, this song remind me of my bad times and tell me always to calm down and remember what you were and how you achieve everything.
My ex told me she didn't like this song (she used to like pop Bollywood songs with common romantic themes). I knew from that moment I can't spend my entire life with her.
Saw them perform live in Bhopal, MP. Their entire set was so polished and well-played, but this was the song that stuck with me the most out of that evening. Bilal's distortion tone so punchy and strong yet melodic, Faisal's haunting but beautiful voice, and they had this insane drummer whose name unfortunately I don't know, but he had the sickest rolls that gave so much weight to the the whole song and particularly quiet-to-loud changes. Would love to relive that experience again.
I was little boy from village than wanted to see strings..grew up had a chance I in expo dubai my ticket was first class i fought security jst to see them and they told me strings is no more..strings is life for many of us ur music ur vocal ...
I can't believe it's been 13 years since this song came out... I still remember listening to this on repeat. I was just 13 year old that time. I didn't understand the lyrics properly but I knew there's a deep pain in this track. I remember, I requested my father to make me understand the meaning. He tried. I understood it, but not much. 13 years later, I still listen to this song every now and then. How time flies fast.... 😭❤️

Best song of the best remake. In my opinion Zinda was the best remake ever. The old Boy original was good but it was extreme for our cultural values, Zinda nailed the concept plus story. Probably one of the few movies in which John actually performed and proved himself as an actor. Hollywood remake of this movie was a disaster.
