For 10,000 years after Marie ascended Throne at the end of Marie's route in Dies irae, worlds flourished and enjoyed times of peace, prosperity and technological advancement under her reign.
However, her reign is put in mortal danger due to emergence of Hajun, who mistook her embrace as the source of pain he's been suffering whole time. To defend Marie, her Guardians (Ren, Mercurius, Reinhard) come to her aid.
The outcome of this battle between Hajun and Dies irae alliance determines whether the story goes to Kajiri Kamui Kagura or back to Dies irae. The outcome largely depends on whether Marie's "Hadou Kyozon" is destroyed by Hajun's initial strike or not.
If Marie's "Hadou Kyozon" is destroyed, Dies irae alliance is weakened and Hajun, using his supreme strength, easily crushes all Dies irae Gods (by just lifting a finger, in his words), starting with Reinhard. With Reinhard dead first, Dies irae alliance is unable to learn Hajun's weakness and utterly defeated. And the story goes to Kajiri Kamui Kagura.
If "Hadou Kyozon" is intact, Dies irae Gods are not as easily defeated since they can fight at their full strength, but still have absolutely no chance against Hajun. But then Reinhard notices the presence of Tumor inside Hajun (Reinhard is more sensitive to this due to being Mercurius' Apoptosis), so Ren buys time temporarily with his time stop, and Marie forcibly reincarnate Tumor inside Hajun.
With his Tumor (which is the source of Hajun's abnormal desire, giving him infinite strength) gone, Hajun is greatly weakened, and Dies irae alliance, with difficulty, manages to defeat him. But Ren, Reinhard and Marie all die in battle, and only Mercurius barely manage to survive. On verge of death, Mercurius once again ascends Throne and use his Atziluth "Eigo-Kaiki" to restart the world from the beginning. This time, Mercurius eliminates every possibility of Hajun ever being born from the beginning of the world. And the story goes to Rea's route in Dies irae, which is considered cannon.

This is a fanmade video and it's truly a masterpiece. It helped me understand a bit of hajun and how KKK happened.
The fight was way more onesided. Hajun, by killing Marie, automatically weakened all three gods (I mean, even if they weren't weakened it wouldn't have done anything). Then he tore Reinhard apart and then erased Mercurius. That made it impossible for Reinhard to come back. Only Ren stayed alive.

- If win, only Mercurius alive => He comes back to the past using his Atziluth "Eigo-Kaiki", and then he'll search and exterminated all source that can make Hajun appears, once and for all (DI route Rea).
- If lose: only Ren and the Briah-limited users barely alive, turned into ghost-like state (KKK).

KKK story is consider non-canon and more of a "what-if" technically speaking.

Technically, it is not the tumor that gives him all that power. What the tumor is doing is leeching power from him and feeding it to Habaki.
All that power is from Hajun himself. What the tumor does is create a feedback loop that feeds into Hajun's desire for solitude. The more he wants to be alone, the more he is bothered by the Tumor's presence which further ingrains his beliefs which in turn fuels his power ad nauseum. While all hegemonic gods are fueled by their beliefs, Hajun is this taken to the extreme.

You can think of it like this, imagine if you have a pesky fly going about your room. You get irritated with it and try to get rid of only that you for some reason can't like it is constantly getting away. So it keeps flying around, irritating you further making you try even harder to get rid of, only for it to still elude you. Rinse and repeat.

-Dies Irae Wins: Leads into Rea’s Route (Which Ending up to y’all)
I'm sadly not all that knowledgeable about shinza banshou since l can't exactly read the visual novels. Regardless, l thought Marie's route was technically the last one since Karl kept rewinding till he got Marie on the throne
It was until Kajiri Kamui Kagura came out, and afterwards the Re-Releases of Dies Irae added Rea’s Route and Endings which while still having Marie on the Throne, now had a more set feeling of ending, especially since that Route implies that Hajun never gets to become a threat thanks to Mercurius changing the timeline after barely using Acta Est Fábula to ensure there’s no chance of Hajun ever existing.

This is a made up fan video with fragments of both games. Hajun didn't feature in Dies Irae at all.

That's actually how he did that. Keep in mind that the video represents the beginning of the fight, which could have had two outcomes. The canon outcome is that Hajun got defeated, and Snake resets everything onto Dies Irae's final route. KKK is technically non canon, and that's where Hajun wins. The only survivor of the canon fight is Mercurius, though.
The battles takes place in a timeframe between Omnia Vincit Amor and Rea's Route. We have not seen this battle play out in its entirety, the best we have are some flashbacks from KKK that show the main points.

It is canon. It's just that the outcome of Hajun winning is not canon. Mercurius won by a hair's width. That said, don't dismiss KKK just because of being non-canon.

Xemnas XIII I`m pretty sure nobody in their right mind is going to translate either Dies Irae or KKK. If you really want to read it, you`ll have to learn Japanese. In fact, it`ll probably be easier in terms of overall effort and time to be able to read Dies Irae than it would be to translate it so there`s the bright side of things.

No you're right. I'm not an expert on the series either, but if I remember correctly (from heresay), Habaki (protagonist of KKK) is Hajun's "Tumor" and thus is siphoning power from him through his existence. As a result, he was able to siphon away enough power from Hajun to put himself on the latter's level, allowing Hajun to be defeated.

According to KKK's timeline, Reinhard, Mercurius, and Marie die while trying to fight Hajun, while Ren is forced to hide all of existence from Hajun for 8000+ years and remain almost completely alone for all that time.
Then he attacks Habaki for being technically part of Hajun, but is later killed, allowing Habaki to go on to fight and kill Hajun.

That's not how Hajun was defeated. The Tumor was indeed siphoning power from him, but that had almost no relation to his defeat (only related cause that allowed the Tumor to create Habaki and keep the main cast alive).

Honestly, he was an excellently written character. He seems shallow at first, but he's actually quite complex being wise, arrogant, foolish, manipulative, naive, childish, etc all at the same time.

Shinza Bansho Fandom : In one possible timeline, Mercurius, Reinhard, Ren, and Marie all manage to defeat Hajun, but with the later 3 dying during the battle. As the only Hegemony God remaining, Mecurius then takes up the throne again, causing his law to reverse time back to before the events of Dies Irae. He then takes steps to prevent Hajun from coming into existence. I really hope this video is a possible timeline!

Technically, Habaki isn't the only main protagonist. There are several routes, and the mcs in those routes are Soujirou (I think), Yakou, Keishirou, and even Rindou as well (of course, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Habaki isn't the only main protagonist)
