Yeah i used to be those types of people that would binge watch Korean shows and the feelings and lifestyle it created for me were not good for example I would crave love like the characters were shown love I would get jealous and imagine myself in their place which is utterly bad and my and my friends or cousins would talk about how handsome the actors were which is also bad Allhamdulillah now I have stopped watching it and wallahi that feeling has stopped like now I think about how immature I was and how I could watch those things. Brothers and sisters this is only ONE example of how watching can affect u u may think that it’s fun to watch and that ur still righteous and all that and ur only watching crime shows which has no romance but anyways this is just a piece of advice so that u can improve your lives and inshaaAllah enter paradise and one more thing I’m also not perfect yes I sin but I also do what Allah loves for us to do which is to ask for forgiveness.

Honestly I still binge watch Korean shows and dramas but I stopped watching kpop but subxanallah I just watch crime shows as you said and I stopped swooning and crushing over them but inshallah I'll try to live kdramas also

And I thought a lot about the akhirah and how scary it is and how I was not gonna risk my akhirah just for some shows. lastly distract ur self with good things to do instead of going to watch and when u have the urge to go watch just remember Allah.. will he be happy with me if I do this? who is more important my desires or my lord who helps me and protects me aswell as more…

The movie industry has been proved to be evil in so many ways and they are all worshipping Satan (they all admit it themselves and movies are full of evil acts and symbolisms), why do you need a hadith when evil is so obvious?

My teacher told me that we can watch good movies but we should never forgot Allah also for example the movie's climax is about to come and also its the time to pray but we sit there watching the movie not praying then its haram if not then its okay

The Georgian Tourist Traveler for the same example that intoxicants are only referred to as intoxicants in the Quran and Hadith and not by all the street names and new age man made drugs. It all falls under the same umbrella of intoxicant. So we understand cocaina or heroine is haram as it’s an intoxicant. So time wasting and idle talk as well as the bigger picture of who runs these films and what they contain will fall under the umbrella of ayats and Hadiths that refers to time wasting and idle talk. Allahu’allam it goes way deeper than this, but I’m dyslexic and it’s hard to explain. May Allah guide us all

Music is not haram, it just gets you distract easily, so just be careful and that’s it, if you get distracted by it then it will be haram.

There is no obedience to the creation if it is disobedience to the creator, Allah Subhana Wa T'Ala. Movies and TV Shows are haram because of music, free mixing etc. I know it may be hard if your family watch stuff together, these days family watching TV and having family time like that is very common. Try to find other halal ways to spend time with your family In Shaa Allah

What if you don't buy the movie
Mariam Lulida he mentioned more that for example music, wasting time, the story( does it oppose Islam, shirk, does it include haram) many things but the money wasting is also a big one.
If you don’t buy the movie then you will save 60 dollars to buy on shawarma and watch the movie while eating. so it’s a win win
I don't really know why movies would be haram unless they had pornographic or half nudity and other haram stuff on sight..

Not a single scholar has ever fought over music prohibition issue except some ignorant imams of your nature! Music is totally HARAM! Even in Quran Music is highlighted in hidden words of Surah Luqman and other surahs; the ayahs were interpreted by righteous companions of Prophet (PBUH) as referring to music! Don't listen to what everyone says. Allah made islam easy for us. We have 5 pilars in Islam that is important. Hurting your body is haram, hurting anyone else is haram, lying, cheating is haram. But to be honest when I was a child and watched movies they really helped improve my language, and now I know how to write amazing stories that get me rly high grades in English class. I don’t know what to really do. If I watch them with the intention of bettering my language and creativity while also lowering my gaze and stuff, would it be considered haram? Assalam u Alaykum. Im a muslim actor on the rise and i love what i do. Its a dream i have and i love it. Allahs providing me with opportunities. I've played an Iraqi soldier on the Netflix show Mo Alhamdul'Illah. Regardless of what I get offered I have to do my best to stay true to Islam
so I thought about my answer. And to be honest I have only played in Iraqi soldier. I've spoken to many fatwa scholars my brother. Trust me I know what's Haram and halal. I know what to avoid and what to pursue. May Allah swt make it easy on me. I've asked the question to scholars "hey if I play a fantasy characters like a night or a dragon rider?" Is this ok. I got the reply of as long as you don't go against Allah.
