  • Part of a peal of Stedman Triples on 22 April 2017 by the Ancient Society of College Youths, recorded from both inside and outside the tower. Details of the peal: bb.ringingworld.... The bells are a mixture cast between 1747 and 1897, with a superb Taylor tenor bell weighing just under 31cwt, cast in 1903.

    They have a lot of character about them and are a joy to listen to

    My kind of metal! They are like eating a meatsteak, delicious and good for your muscles. The best eight in Somerset without a doubt!

    The bells here are the 11th heaviest ring of 8 bells in the world at 30.3.23 cwt in Db. The tenor recast by Taylor's in 1903 when the bells were rehung by Taylor's. They were rehung in 2010 on roller bearings. Practice is Fridays at 7:30pm

      They are a right mixture of bells but for some reason they sound wonderful.
      The tenor is a classic Taylor bell.
