He might not HAVE a learning disability (unless I missed that being said). Autists vary significantly from person to person. I'm autistic and have a degree and I'm hoping to continue my Masters on autism over the next year or so. I only mention it because most people have a media twisted version of what autists should be like
As a person myself whose disabled, thank you not only for being a mom, but for what you are doing. You are showing people that even if we are disabled, we are still people. ❤️❤️❤️
I work at an elementary school. Our district has no plan to help these children’s when they become adults. The fortunate will have families that can help them. The others might even up on the streets.
Might have to take a little road trip from New York. My adult daughter is Autistic and we would love to go somewhere that is welcoming. Great story, great mom.
I am at a loss for words...but I would truly LOVE to commend this mom and her partners for doing this and showing the world how wonderfully clever ALL peoples with disabilities are! From the bottom of my heart - I wish you all a lifetime of success...God bless...
This is wonderful and I wish there were more places like this. However, these places should not have to exist. People with disabilities and their care givers should not feel stressed out to eat out. I also LOVE seeing them work and they should be accepted everywhere that is safe for them.
Beautiful This is heartwarming . as a person who lives with a disability. because we need a safe place to go . For us we are handworkers. it's a heartwarming that they have a safe place to go to . and people are kind to help out thank you so Much for sharing your story.
As someone with Autism, I am grateful for people like her who give people like me a chance to show that we are capable just like everyone else. Where I work we have regular customers who have disabilities and additional needs. It peeves me off when I overhear the other customers making rude and mean comments about them. 😡 You don't bad mouth them in front of me coz I will get angry. (I don't say anything because I don't want to cause a problem/scene) I was bullied and picked on at school, so I know how feels to have rude and mean things said to me. (Sorry for me ranting, I just needed to get that off my chest)
This video is make me smile because this lady who give opportunity to disabled people give a jobs to serve community. They are blessed and great future 😊
This is phenomenal but it shouldn't be so rare! This is about community saying that there is no reason why someone who has a disability shouldn't have an opportunity of employment or doesn't have "something to give". Along the way we find that there's a place where everyone belongs and none of us need to slip through the cracks ❤
A fantastic human being with a fantastic idea. ❤ as someone with autiam myself, it's so hard to just live without work or at least a routine that work can give you. I was without work for a year and it made me really depressed. My ship finally pulled in when I got a job in march. I still am learning and I still make mistakes but I am much, much happier. I feel better and I feel proud to be responsuble enough that my coworkers have faith in me to do a good job because they know i can do it. Thank you Maureen and everyone who helped for making this happen for all these wonderful people 🙏
I wish there were more places like this. My ex was discriminated against by potential employers because of his disabilities (yes its illegal, but they have their sneaky ways around it) And im now disabled, and trying to find a pt job (because getting Disability has been a 3 yr nightmare. Yes, i have a lawyer), and im scared because of the discrimination my ex experienced.
This is truly amazing!🫡❤️ Someone please collaborate with this lady to open more places like this around the world, especially here in the United States!🙏❤️🥹
God Bless You for starting your programs. As a Mom you wanted so much for your Son and for other families with disabilities to have there loved ones be able to participate in a world that truly is challenging for all of us. I believe you have Earned Your Wings !!
Wishing you the best! More opportunities need to be given like this. I've eaten a couple times before at a local restaurant that employs people with disabilities. It tasted amazing.
Having things like this and the Alzheimer's villages would do wonders for pwople who struggle with extreme mental issues. I really hope this stuff catches on.
Yes! We need more places like this to give people with disabilities more employment opportunities!
Yes we need more places for weetarts to go and feel good about yourselves LMFAO

Its pretty standard in Europe, they've been doing it for at least a decade
That's not just sitting in a factory doing piece work their whole lives.
@@giuliab8484 hes actually upset that they can get a job but he can't because he lacks the intelligence
Never underestimate the power of a mom
My mother is a strong willed woman who doesn't take crap from anyone
I've met quite a few bad ones. Speak for yourself.
This place looks amazing I live in pa and I wanna make the trip
Mumtism
Reminds me of the Japanese Restaurant that employs elders with dementia. So sweet
Intellectual disabilities are often barriers for this but she overcame them with her son

Well what are they to do? They are a school board.
@@mattmax11 they should have programs that prepares them to transition to adulthood.
My high school had a program where the special needs students could stay until the age of twenty-one, and they got life skill classes.

A SUPER MUM.. the world would be a far better place with mum like her BRAVO ♥️
We need more places like these. What she also needs to do is set up a bakery were they can learn how to bake and decorate cakes

The mom's philly accent is strong...reminds me of my aunts, love it!
So beautiful!!! My son has autism and places/ people like this give me lots of hope! God bless
Nick's mum has demonstrated so much love to everyone with a disability. Working in this cafe has improved the self confidence of each employee
Alot more people need to do this because people with disabilities have just as much opportunities if not more to exceed in life
This is wonderful and I wish there were more places like this. However, these places should not have to exist. People with disabilities and their care givers should not feel stressed out to eat out. I also LOVE seeing them work and they should be accepted everywhere that is safe for them.
There's has to be more places for them to be who they are as people ❤❤

Yes more places like this❤ my brother is also working in mcdonalds, im just happy people accepted him ❤
Anyone near the area should visit them and support their business. This is amazing! Have these individuals continue to support.
There needs to be more people in this world like you. Definitely would be a better place to live.
Amazing story that gives me hope for mankind.
These days, we need all the hope we can get in our increasingly insane world.
Just goes to show, they're angels around us,God bless her and all of them
We need to be like these heroes. The world needs more heroes like them.
God bless 🙏That mom for doing that and helping people with disabilities 👍. I have a Grown Son with Autism and Adhd and mmr. As a single mother.
