MTF-K Commercial

One of the things I like about being a Combat Journalist is being to go anywhere and video tape anything. Part of this assignment was to go into an operating room during an actual operation.
The assignment was to do a 30 second commercial about MTF-K (Medical Task Force-Kuwait). The unit had provided me with an outline of a script highlighting different aspects of their mission. SSG Statum and SGM Greene had shot some video for it already. Then SGM and I headed back to complete the shots which included the operating room. Once we had all the shots, I began editing and I decidedly took the spot in a new direction. This commercial is currently being played by AFN channels all over the world. Additional Helicopter footage was provided by PFC Jake Marlin of the 50th PAD when he did a story about the Med-Evac pilots and the challenges of their mission. NOTE: While in the operating room we did all the same protocol as anyone else entering and carefully followed the instructions of the physician with us while taping.
