I cannot believe the three that I read, watch, and study are together in discussion; somehow the path that I find myself on feels validated by what I see.
until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood,to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. HIS Church, His people will not ever be governed by the ways of men, Denominations can not play a role in the restoring of HIS HOUSE because they operate with a party mentality relying heavily upon the vanity of their own understandings and constantly pushing forward their own ways SPIRIT AND TRUTH is the only thing that will ever bring a one church system into operation 4 and 20 Elders cast away their crowns best that man learn the lesson and bow before the KING we are in need of HIM but far to often it appears to be the other way around foolish Children we are
Cary Matthews - already but not yet fully transformed. The roots of which affects of our real and sin laden DNA. The perfect church remains in the existence of that ubiquitous reality. And praise God for the blood and eternal sufficiency of Christ.
I think that's today we need to talk more about the nature of the church as the body of Christ than Jesus himself which is the head of the church specially in the western part of the world.
If the church becomes more ecumenical in spirit, that is a very good thing. Allow churches to have their distinctives. What we would never want is ecumenicism of organization. We don't need one church institution. It shouldn't happen and it shouldn't be the goal. It would eventually become man centered, in my opinion. It was tried with the Roman church, and bad things resulted.
Then we come up against with prejudical bias even within ecumenical circles...what about the priesthood of the laity, is it always going be clerics, priests....what about motherhood, person hood, fatherhood, childhood etc...occupations teachers, lawyers, medical priest hoods!

And I don't think human beings are up to that including myself especially where personal experience is concerned....persecution for standing up for others....sure does leave you in the crucible! Gives another dimension to crucifixion in the 21st Century!
