That's awesome. Thank you. As a retired driver now, I'm from the era that used cb radios constantly. If my truck was running, so was my radio. If my radio quit I was hunting down the nearest shop. I still believe that the cb is one of the most important safety tools anyone can have in their truck. If the boneheads in the industry today actually started using them again,that would cut down at least 80 percent if not more of these "MASSIVE"pileups!!! Sorry for the rambling. Thank you for sharing this with us 👍
Firm believer in this. CB usage would definitely cut down on the pileups, especially the ones I’ve seen first hand !

When Smokey and Bandit came on the cb I could feel what the old timey truckers felt back in the day, I love the old Petes and Kenworths. Wow, how the times are changing. I talked to a guy one time that grew up in a small town and all they would do is sit on the cb to gossip or talk. I for sure grew up in the wrong time my friends!
It is a pity that American truck simulator does not have such a speciality, which was in the game 18 wheels of steel: across America. There was also a kind of CB radio, when you could exchange some phrases with a passing bot driver. It would be more interesting to have the same thing in this game than just hearing voices.
There are some interesting conversations in those CB audio files especially the guy talking about the wet t-shirt contest. LOL

You can do it this way but you can also buy a cb radio accessorie that you can use when playing multiplayer and then you can talk to your buddies

When I open up the Radio, I don't have those channels (11, 19, etc.). I do see the 4 channel files in the link you provided above but I didn't see any information on where to drop them. Hint?
You put them in the music folder in your documents under American truck simulator. Then in game click radio and click music

These are awesome, but it should be noted that a lot of these are NOT safe for little ears....unless you don't care what your children hear.
But it does add that little touch when you're ticking off the miles...

Some warning about profanity would have been proper. There is a bunch of it in those recordings. Ch. 19 file, 1:05 is a small example. As a long time CB operator, from years back, I knew the chances there would be profanity if there was a recording. Listening to the recording before allowing a youngster to is a given. Something I noticed. This is recorded with a radio using squelch. This is not something we do when actively listening. It is somewhere in the Southeast of the USA. I suspect the recording(s) were made 2022 as there are some skip conditions heard. This is part of the solar cycle and it peaking right now. We can hear stations from all over the world right now on CB radio. The cycle peaks in early 2025, and skip will die out in the following year. We will not hear long distance stations again until 2033 or so. This is better for truckers. Hard to use the CB for good when you cannot hear people close in because of all the noise from DX land. :)

I like the concept of having a CB Radio going off, but when it overrides the music playing that does it for me. wish they had a CB mod that actually does what this does without being a music file to play.
You can always set up RUclips or Spotify in the background. Or even if you prefer in game radio like truckersfm can go their website and stream and still enjoy the cb :)

This chatter is not worth a crap with out a radio in the cab of the truck
Then you best get the radio in your ride ! LOL, all modded trucks have the radios and when you run in TruckersMP a Radio is automatically connected.
