- URI's Associate Director and Natural Areas Expert, Chris Ozyck led this talk in New Haven, CT, on February 10, 2024. It covers his experience leading "de-vining" efforts in natural areas. This work is an important part of URI's efforts to fight climate change and conserve carbon in our urban canopy. "De-vining" is the process of cutting invasive vines from trees. Chris has led hundreds of volunteers and URI crews in the removal of invasive plants. He invites you to come to his talk to learn more and join him subsequently in the field to pick up the new skill of "de-vining."
