@@antman09ful1 thanks Mike I enjoyed the trips out to here no too busy but enough to keep me occupied. The walk from Edale station to the bridge was a nice walk.
@@rocksreynolds3642 glad you enjoyed the video I thought I would give the area a go whilst I was off work I did notice that a Monday is the best day to go.
@@keithphillips7320 I wonder how long the old signals will last as its modernised both sides of Edale. Hope its not too soon as it adds to the scenery here.
Did not know it has got so busy. Like the fill shots in Edale. Shows how unstable the valley sides have been over time. I wonder if again over time and all the train loads leaving the area, the Peak District will slowly rise. It did after the last ice age melted and still is in Scotland.
@@briancooper562 the busiest day was the Monday but ive seen more pass along the Hope Valley line before its a bit hit and miss and hard to get everything. Busiest bit is Chinley South Junction but you dont get some of the freights that terminate / start at Earles Sidings. I cant remember if the hills are different from when I went in 2018 maybe they are. Glad you enjoyed the video.
HI Paul smashing vid pal, question... have had 2 outings to Grindleford 9am till 13.00 never seen a single freight train?? would expect seeing Cement trains to Earles. any particular time for viewing these please Cheers for now IAN
@@ianclarkson2251 depends its hit and miss. Monday (Yesterday) there was a good 8 freight pass Grindleford from 07.50 to 13.15. There was a Dewsbury cement that passed around dinnertime too. I noticed the DCR 60 move did not run was not listed www.realtimetrains.co.uk/search/detailed/gb-nr:GRN/2024-08-12/0700-1900?stp=WVS&show=non-passenger&order=wtt
This was a great watch Paul, thank you very much for sharing it.

Thanks for filming trains I know well as they pass through my neighbourhood of Totley, including “squeaky train” at 5:05.

Very scenic locations, not least because of the semaphores and signal boxes.
