Very nice study after Velazquez, my favorite painter! What kind of white did you use? I find it easier to match some of his brushstrokes with a slightly transparent white (zinc or lead).
hello sir, i am Vanshika, a budding artist from India.. i must say that you have created a beautiful reproduction of Diego Velazquez's portrait of Pope Innocent the X... also i must appreciate the way you explain the whole process.. i love your works and would want to see more.. it would be really helpful if you could provide me with the link of your website or instagram account, as i want to see more of your works.. Thank you Love from India
Ehm... I don't want to be annoying but it should be "alLa prima", with two L's, otherwise "ala" (one L) is "wing", which makes no sense. Apart from that, perfect as usual.
@@graziacavasino8884 Not French at all. 'a la' are Spanish and 'prima' is Italian. This is how is said in Spanish, borrowing only the Italian word, 'prima' from the original Italian. So, 'Alla' Italian, 'A la'. Spanish. Actually I think that in French would be something like: 'au premier' Hope this clears the matter.
Fantastic... I’ve seen this painting in person and this is such a lively reproduction of it.
I love the topics you talked about in this video. great video and great painting :))

Will you at some point combine a Tempera underpainting with Oil layers like van Eyck?
Thank you Maximilian!! It's a great idea and I will!!
Would be interesting to see you recreate one of James Tissots religious works.
Thank you!! Great idea!!
Μπράβο φίλε, πολύ ταλέντο και σκληρή δουλειά... Είσαι αριστερόχειρας;

Thank you for the correction 🙏🙏😊😊
@@PaintingtheLight My pleasure.
Well, if one says it in Spanish, it will be ' A La Prima'
Only by joining the 'a' and the ''La' , 'aLa' in Spanish will mean 'ala' , in English, wing.

Your manners are highly objectionable. Hope this ends the story here.
Good painting, but not a Velazques at all.
