    I feel your pain mate but at least you gave it a go!
    Sounds like the repair kits just aren't worth the hassle.
    Keep ya chin up Colin and keep up the good work I for one appreciate your time and effort!👍🏻

    I've personally never use one, if I was doing close up stuff like that, I just unscrew my extension. Personally I feel the extra weight on the end of the gun from the cleanshot would be an RSI issue with time.

    • @camdecorations9779
      @camdecorations9779  4 года назад +1

      ThePa1nter its really weird over the time I've I've really got use to the weight and the extension and the cleanshot , I almost use it like a pendulum . The weird part is when I go back to just spraying with the gun it feels to light and I have to change my technique. The only real reason I use it is because my back is shot to pieces so I need an extension to do less bending down which means I have to stop the spits from the extension by using the cleanshot. If I do 2 days of just using the gun without the extension I can't work the third day . sooner or later i will need an operation on my back but I really don't want to go down that road yet but eventually I will have to have it done.

    The best way to stop spitting is to not take your fingers off the trigger until the whole thing is painted. Your technique is BAD...really bad. pssst, pssst, psssst is never good. Psssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssst is the only way

    1. Why are you using an extension there? If it’s just to show the fail, okay.
    2. When you first put the CS on, you can’t just spray the surface. You have to at least equalize the pressure in the extension first by spraying a couple of seconds.
    3. Graco won’t replace it?

    If you fitted all the parts in the kit, theres no way it should be doing that spitting. If you only changed the needle of course it will spit.

      Yes it was . In my opinion they out perform the tritech gold tips I think the gold tips leave to much texture on the woodwork, maybe I needed to go to a 308. I haven't tried hea tips so I can't really comment on those .

    £115.20 inc VAT at Brewers using 20% new customer code - gutted for you Colin but you tried mate. Typically I would have gone the same route and now cursing myself lol. Strange how the new repair kit is spitting, is it just like you haven’t got a cleanshot on the end of an extension ? I wonder if the old housing is knackered and the new kit not sealing to cause that spitting?
    Well you have another guard and tip to add to the collection lol

    Hi Colin, another Colin here. Thanks for the videos, I'm pretty new to spraying and have found them really helpful. I've not long owned a clean shot and so far it's been great, but last time I used it on a ceiling it was spitting badly out the back of the valve, any wisdom you could throw my way?
    Also why not try and get your money back for the replacement needle, could just be a dud. I had a dodgey tip recently, cost me best part of half a days work but managed to at least return the tip. Worth a try.

      @camdecorations9779  4 года назад +1

      Ah another colin , not many of us out there. I've got to admit I don't have a clue why it would leak out the back like that. Is it leaking from the nut area or is it coming through the regulator ?

    • @ColinBurmingham
      @ColinBurmingham 4 года назад

      @@camdecorations9779 thanks for the reply. Just coming out of regulator, can't remember how I had it dialed in but remember thinking it shouldn't be doing that! Just wondered if that was a common occurrence.

    • @camdecorations9779
      @camdecorations9779  4 года назад +1

      @@ColinBurmingham no that's not common it sounds like your clean shot is on it's way out. If it happens again when you spray them you know you've got a problem there.

    • @ColinBurmingham
      @ColinBurmingham 4 года назад

      @@camdecorations9779 Thanks. I hope you're wrong as it's virtually brand new. I'm hoping I didn't diagnose it correctly and it was just paint running down from a loose guard or something. I won't be using it for a while but I will look more carefully next time if it does it again. I just hope the dodgey tip I had hasn't forced too much pressure back through the clean shot. Cheers anyway.

    So from comments it sounds like you replaced parts in this clean shot and its now spitting, was it okay before. I read some Graco stuff on this and saw some videos on the clean shot and when NEW, Graco will not guarantee NO SPITTING! So what good is it, if they say may not always work. I saw some people swear by it and others that just use it as an angle changer. Bummer mate, sorry for the fail, didn't know you could change the inners, which if so, tells me it doesn't have a long life and then for the money of a short life and no guarantee, I really am thinking not to get one now. Thanks a million pal!

      You know what I had mine for 2 years and there was nothing wrong with it the regulator was a bit tight but that was down to me . I just thought its had a lot of liters of paint going through it so I'll just buy the replacement parts rather than buying a new one. That's why I was so gutted I bollocked up a perfectly good clean shot just because I thought it might do with a change. For me I think they are well worth it , there's a certain way to work and clean them which should be mentioned in the instructions but I have a video showing how to do this. Its up to you if you want to buy one but for me and spraying on site its one of the most important tools to have with my spray kit. Thanks for watching my videos mate 👍.

    Gutted for ya it’s not as if P&D makes you thousands of pounds a month so £80 waisted is not the one,but look at it as a learning process you could have just replaced your clean shot a few times over the next few years spent the £150 ever time then you find out you could have just replaced the needle for £80 so in this scenario you would have spent more money replacing the whole unit ever time than you would have if the replacement needle worked out, but you tried it once it’s no good so from now on you know not to bother 👍🏻

    On à bien compris que t’aimes pas ma clean short. Sans la clean shot on voit les goutes aussi. Et sache que un réglage en conséquence de le type de peinture et de la pression bar doit être fait directement sur ma visse du clean shot. C’est pour cela que c’est moins beau avec le clean shot.
