It's looks more like a Tian than traditional Ratatouille but the two recipes are almost the same anyway 😂. It's beautiful and looks delish so congrats @annikasleaf ! I would gladly eat this 🤩
@@panpan-6944 I agree, same veggies, different cooking techniques ! This is more a Tian ^^ Though, most parents don't bother with cooking techniques and just chuck the veggies in a pot, cook them and done :D

I have tips for how to make pancakes! 1:38 1. Butter the pan! Butter is better since it won’t burn out to fast, but you can also use it in between batches that your cooking for the same consistency. Not too much though 🙃 2. Making the batter thicker also helps, I would suggest maybe more yogurt 🤷🏾♀️ I’m not sure how yogurt changes consistency since i haven’t tried it before lol. And maybe flour will help with thickness too! Much love! I hope it goes well next time 🐻❤️
I was thinking the same, the batter looked thin and the pan wasn’t greased. I always add a little bit of butter, even when using a nonstick pan lol. I haven’t tried yogurt or protein powder in a pancake before, so I can’t really make any suggestions in regard to those

As a French, your ratatouille looks delicious! I personally love to eat it with potatoes but anything's fine. For the pancakes you need to butter the pan slightly before each pancake and then flip it with a thin metallic spatula so it doesn't destroy your hard work 😉
I love Annika's videos; they're so aesthetically pleasing and truly brighten my day. I would say I'm a definite cold food cold weather since I am very easily prone to get hot I know I would die to eat soup during summer. But I enjoy eating ice cream in the winter.
cold food cold weather imo! thank you so much for this vlog, it's so relaxing and refreshing to watch someone decorate and make food! and don't worry, I think everyone is in the christmas spirit early this year :)
Hi Annika. Love your videos. You're so talented. Not sure if anyone recommended it or not, but your self-made calendar at your office, get some 1/4" vinyl tape and block out your calendar, so you don't have to redraw it every time it smudges; and get yourself some Wet Erase Markers. Similar to dry erase, but it doesn't smudge and is removed with water. Let it dry a moment to let the ink set. Also, your pancakes: make sure the pan is preheated, but at a lower temp (medium- low to medium heat), not piping hot, and use a paper towel to spread out the oil or butter, not just spray... helps fill the crevices from the pan as it's heating and expanding. And, give the pan a little shake to release the pancakes. Hope that helps. Enjoy your Holidays 🙂
Hot food weather because I feel like that is already our norm all year round. food is always hot after cooking. Also cold food just irks me at times and can ruin a meal. Thank you for the video Annika and happy holidays!!

French girl speaking here - Hi, love your content btw! 🤍✨ Your ratatouille looks good and is pretty, and idk how they make it in the restaurant (here they don't) but in french homes, we just kinda throw the ingredients in! Eggplant zucchinis, red bell pepper, onion, garlic and thyme and diced tomatoes. We cut everything in dices, eggplant in small ones bc it takes longer to cook. You put olive oil onion and garlic in your pan, 2mins later add in the eggplant, cook it for a few minutes. Add zucchini, bell pepper, let cook a few minutes, then add the diced tomatoes. Now I add a tiny bit of granulated sugar in all my tomato sauces bc the sugar overbalances the acidity of the tomato. Thyme, salt and pepper. Cover and let it cook to a simmer for about an hour. It has to cook slow for the veggies to be soft and tasty, BUT you have to be careful and add a bit of water every now and then, so it doesn't burn bc the water in the veggies WILL evaporate. In the end, you re-salt to your taste and DONE. Traditional ratatouille looks a bit more like a stew kind of thing. And it's sooooo comforting. Hey Annika! Already loving the video but I hope you don't mind if I give you some advice about the pancakes. Everyone makes them different but if you want it to be thicker and fluffier that batter has to thicker. You'll know when its right of you see a little but of air bubbles inside and then add a tiny bit of olive oil in the mixture so they do not stick to the pan. Hope this helps
I would go with hot food in hot weather, I'm sensitive to the cold so eating too much cold food for me is a no go 😅 but I'll always eat ice cream in the cold 😋
When doing the pancakes. Turn your heat down and wait for bubbles to appear before flipping. Also i would spray a little of you cooking oil/pam on your spatula. Wood is a pain in the ass for pancakes because it is not thin enough to slide under them like a regular plastic/metal spatula is. Also edited to say...no smooshing the pancakes!! lol💜

I think the pan May been a little to hot as well.
Maybe nothing wrong with the pan, and maybe the oven is not leveled?
Yogurt will make it runnier, try a bit more protein powder or even some blended oats to thicken it up! 😃

You'll know when its right of you see a little but of air bubbles inside and then add a tiny bit of olive oil in the mixture so they do not stick to the pan. Hope this helps
it would be soooo fun if you maybe had a little tutorial-craft with me making a necklace like that! id love to learn how you make them!! :D
I like both. I like eating hot noodle soup on a nice hot day in Summer. And I love bingsu on a chilly day.
Annika, no one can thank u enough for taking the time to make these amazing, cozy vlogs. it always makes my day! ❤
cold food in cold weather! hot food in hot weather can be nauseating. also: LOVE the Christmas area, so cute!
Also edited to say...no smooshing the pancakes!! lol💜
I'm like super sick rn and your videos save me from my misery. Thank you ❤
